Hi Rachel, hmm tried this one and the result was dismal, back to the drawing board. Not often I have to repeat one but this time the mojo just wasn’t there. ☹️ Thanks for the happiness you spread with your stories, they’re a real giggle.😁
My husband is a police officer in America. He can take a lunch but if he gets a call while he is eating they have to drop what they’re doing and go, if it’s something serious. If it’s just to take a police report for something (the burglar is long gone) they will go as soon as they’re done eating. If it’s an active call (offense/situation is currently happening) they will drop everything they’re doing and go. However, there’s always someone available. Dispatch/911 operators, there is always someone on duty to take calls. There is also a ranking (for lack of a better word) of what type of calls take priority over others. For instance, an in-progress domestic violence situation is going to take priority over pulling someone over for speeding.
Police in US are available 24/7. and always have gas in their cars! Video was great!!!! Thank you for showing how you finished them off....really made a huge difference. Thanks Rachel, you're the BEST!!!!!!!
Hi Rachel, somehow I missed this one & I’m so glad to have discovered it! I think it was a great idea to make your version of the plates! Very interesting! I miss all the sounds of daily life in your newer videos, I’m sure it’s much more pleasant for you now, but I really always enjoyed the random dogs, the old woman yelling at her cats, the kids running up & down the stairs, the church bells ringing …. It was the sounds of real people just doing normal stuff, everything is so quiet now! I miss it, because my neighborhood is quiet also. Take care! A lovely video! Erica❤
Some beautiful bases! And even more lovely when you’ve added your touch! Beautiful, Rachel! Btw, your package came today! Yippee! Thank you so much for the surprise! Sending love and hugs your way! ❤️
The circles look great. You have the best ideas. My son is a sheriff and he gets breaks and usually eats in his sheriff car. Thanks for another great project. 😍🌴
Liked that idea Rachel. As you said, the torn edges against the clean cut of the circles and then sometimes a torn edge again. You’re a clever chook with a creative mind!! 🙂❤️🇦🇺xxx
I’ve been a police agent for 8 years in Amsterdam- The Netherlands- Europe. And we had shifts so there was always police to help. But You do make an appointment for filing reports if it is to busy. Depends also on how critical the case is. You can even file simple cases online without even seeing a police officer. 😉 Thanks for the inspiration and chat!😘
I laughed and laughed about the police dept. Sounds like the man just didn't want to take the report. Ours are open 24 hours. I love how you get an idea and it spurs even more inspiration...the ideas just keep developing. It is a wonderful process.
Rachel I don't always comment but I do always watch you! I enjoyed this relaxing Sunday video and as usual am inspired. Thank you for sharing a bit of your day with us! Hugs
Brilliant ideas today! I loved the collages and thought it was a fabulous idea to cut circles out of the print one and put them on the script one! Good on you Rachel! It was all really wonderful!!! 🌿🌼🌷🌹🌸🦋
How you keep coming up with all these ideas Rachael, your incredible x I’ll miss these daily challenges, you’ve done so very well in this 100 day challenge.
The police never close here in Canada, they are open 24/7. There is always a night shift and day shift. Hubby worked with the Police for 12 years he was never not on call .
Incredible police stories! Hard to believe they just close down for lunch, like crime doesn't happen at that time! Good idea with the circles and adding the owl and the labels, etc. really made the tags pop! TFS the inspiration, Rachel!
The police stations in the UK don't close. Desk staff would stagger their breaks. They get too busy to ever close. I wonder if Italian hospitals do the same lol
The tags and pockets became even more attractive the more you did to them! Love the circle punch ideas. The labels and sewing added just the right touch. The sound was much clearer towards the end. I had to put closed captioning on the first portion because it was so soft. Notice, I didn't just give up. I love your videos!! Thanks.
This is Anne on my son’s you tube. 117 degrees F in Arizona today. 47.2 C. Police here getting very bad treatment. Can’t imagine the chaos if cities defund the police in my state. It is very much like the Wild West here.
The police stories were hilarious! Thank you for the laughter. No police breaks here in the US. I love the way the collage sheet was transformed into tags and pockets. They are lovely!
Oh my geez! Police closed...not in USA. Beautiful idea both ways with whole page and after cutting!! Love it! Like watching you create w/o a plan💕🐬hugs
I agree with the others ... the police story was hilarious!!! I needed a laugh today - thank you! I also think this idea was brilliant! It does make me think about how I might use it as well. It's going to be fun to give it a bit of a try. Thank you for continuing to inspire us to stretch a little more and try new ideas. ❤️~Lois
I think this was very clever, and it will make me look at catalogs and magazines in a new way - paying attention to color schemes and how things are laid out. Thank you!
Omg Rachel what am I going to do when the 100 days are over. I find myself checking your channel all the time to see if you have posted yet. I have loved it so much. I so love you and Lulu. Keep on posting and I will keep watching.
loved these....so much! I bet you could start with coffee dyed paper, then glue the book pages to that, then proceed from there! That would mean all would be backed just in case?! I might try that, cause sometimes I'm tired after creating and find it fiddley to back them...silly me.....hahaha...
No our police stations don’t close when they take lunch breaks. 911 is always available! Those stories were pretty funny. Love the video. The ephemera turned out very lite and pretty.
That police story is sooo funny...very strange though. Here in Canada the police are always available as far as I know. I think they probably take shifts for breaks. Love the project today, but I love them everyday!!! Sad the 100 days is coming to an end.
I think they turned out beautifully. It’s amazing how the projects evolve themselves. That’s the great part of crafting, you don’t always know how things are going to end up. Thanks again Rachel for sharing your inspiration with us
thanks so much for today's video rachel. i always enjoy your stories about italy and australia. thanks for sharing them with us as well as your lovely artwork. you've been amazing with your commitment of 100 days of inspiration. i'm not looking forward to the 100 day project being finished but hoping you will feel less pressure and less responsibilty for a daily video.
Glad you’re cooling down some. We are 98 today (36 cel)! Ugh!! As I’ve gotten older I don’t enjoy the heat as much...it wears me out. That is the strangest story about the police taking a lunch break! That’s got to be an exception to the rule, you think? Loved the butterfly plates...you’re so ingenious. Take care.🥰
No lunch breaks here for police.u.k. That’s so funny no petrol oh my a comedy of police. Love your projects. And stories . Stay safe don’t do anything between 12.00-1.00p.m.xx
Love it ! Very pretty with the circles. The police here in US are scheduled so they are only on lunch breaks with others are not. I enjoy your stories so much. Yes, Rachel.🌺
Maybe a once a week challenge thingy?? (it could go for say 12 weeks or something??)... How very bizarre... so no lunchtime criminal activities...lol ( although as you say, not so funny if something was really happening.....😮😕) I think it is a great idea lovey, they look really fab xox
I love the little extra the circles bring to the collages. Inspiring as usual. I have loved the 100 days! Thanks so much for sticking with it. Can't wait to see what you do next.
No stopping for lunch in the USA . my husband is a officer and he works 13 hour shifts. He never takes a lunch but the other officers grab something if and when they can. But everything stays running. Like you said. Crime doesn’t stop for lunch .
Thankful for your husbands service. I'm amazed though he can go 13 hours without eating. I've never known a man that didn't require food for that long. My husband will tell ya " I gotta eat regular" meaning morning, lunch, supper, and an evening snack. However he burns alot of calories as a logger, mechanic, electrician and restoring his old cars when he has spare time. Yes, he's rarely idle, but slowing with age which is bothersome.
@@cindyriley1846 maybe his 27 years in the military gave him enough discipline lol He eats breakfast and dinner and he’s been doing that our whole married life. He drinks a lot of water and coffee on shift. The man is healthy as one can be. He doesn’t smoke or drink and it works for him. On the other hand... I can not go without eating lunch. Not a chance... and thank you! All of our good LEO’s need our prayers and support now more than ever. Your husband sounds like my father he and I we never sit still and burn calories I have the fastest metabolism my whole life. Thought it would change now that I’m in my 50’s no such luck. I would love to gain some weight. Oh and my husband isn’t just the typical officer he Runs the special ops K9 team and he is on the bomb squad there is daily training so he keeps moving along. And I do try to get him to eat. But it is what it is Your husband sounds like a jack of all trades! How nice for you to have a husband who can fix things! Bet that’s a help...If he has the time. I he sounds like a very busy man. And restoring cars must be fun. I love seeing restored cars I even watch Barrett Jackson auctions just to get a look at all the restored cars. Love them all usually. Blessing to you and thank you for commenting
OMG. Police on lunch? Here in the states, they do take a lunch but they rotate the schedule to there isn't a lapse in police protection. I don't know how long this will still be in effect because a lot of people want the police here defunded. I can't imagine calling the police and having no one available to help. How scary! In the US police department is open all the time
As they should be!
I am a police officer here in the states.... we eat on the way to calls... or between them. So, not sure how they do things in Italy.... 🤷♀️
