- Before I sing this song I tell a short story that shows the danger of putting off accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. This story complements the song.
There is a prayer after the song for anyone who would like to come to know Jesus.
The story is so telling, the song itself sung in a soulful manner, with the burden to call the unsaved, will surely touch hungry sincere hearts.
How thoughtful to include a salvation prayer too.
Thank you for your kind comments. The story I tell before singing is a very sad but absolutely true story. I knew the evangelist I mentioned and it was he who originally told this story and I got permission from him to use it. I included it to stress the importance of accepting Christ before it is too late.

Phillip Greensmith I have known too many people who felt they had plenty of time... makes me think of almost pursuaded.
My brother died at the age of 22. He might have been saved, but I don't have assurance that he was. We were both raised in a strong Christian home, and both knew the gospel, but in his teen years he began rejecting God or anything godly.
I'm sorry to hear that your brother died age 22. But be assured of this, that if he called out to the Lord with his last breathe for salvation he will now be in Heaven.
