A good rule I like to use in pve fights is "See, Act." It sounds simple on paper and really it is pretty simple but it helps me a lot before I go into a difficult fight. Suppose you're fighting a Sharko, you know that it has a swipe attack to parry and a flashy red kick to dodge. See the swipe, then act on it. See the kick, act on it. i might just be trash at the game or something but its super hard for me to parry because all the npcs i fight literally stunlock me so i cant do anything. yeah the main thing is to just keep trying it over and over and get the muscle memory to help you also I can recommend to use heavy weapons since they're damage output will be really clutch for sharko and other enemies smilar to that

A tip I could give isn’t to practice with other Roblox games, but with souls-like (Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne, etc.) because Deepwoken is way more like these games: when fighting an enemy, first analyse its attacks. Then, find moments where you can attack between each of its movements. Finally, profit.
@@itssyncx3537 Wym? This ain’t gpo. The way agamatsu said it reminded me of these games: you can’t just go and keep attacking over and over and over, you have to learn their patterns and play defensive

here i am now, doing the trial of one and i never fought any of those monsters but after 3 days of literally consistant death i did a flawless sharko there, probab next weekend I'll complete the trial since sharko was my only fear
The thing that made me become not anxious under pressure was playing a sport cause like now when I’m anxious I play better but in turn after I win like pvp i am like shaking but shoot that’s only like REALLY close matches but yea pve isn’t to hard after watching this video I just kept wiping a freshie doing the uh trial of one for a minute then I did just depths and this seems less time taking (idk)
I’m very anxious about the depths because at morning I was tryna get shadow magic with my power 45 azure flame hero sword build and when I went to the depths, I was chased by angels, almost died, logged, killed the jellyfish, and then a crocodile jumped out of nowhere and attacked me and I saw the big dragon too. The crocodile lowered me to 1 hp and then 2 ppl came out of nowhere and saved me and then I successfully healed and gone into the kingdom and got shadow magic. After I got shadow magic I died to the angels and wiped. During the crocodile attacking me I could feel that my blood was running everywhere in my body and I somehow escaped out of luck P.S I was activating my sweaty and tryhard parkour mode to get away
My biggest problem is playing with high ping, but I also want to know how to time my parries. Do I press f at the end of the windup or at the beginning of the swing actually coming towards me?
Considering the delay caused by the ping, you have almost to predict it, since the ping will show you the windup later, and will recive your responce later, so with 200 ping, my best reacheable, it takes 200ms to the opponents action to appear on my screen, and it takes 200ms for the server to register my action. Half a secound delay, while the move may last like 300ms.
SHARKO: If your new against a sharko try this. If it hits 2 times. parry it, hit 4(light) 3(medium) 1(heavy) If it kicks, Dodge. Hit 4(light) 3(medium) 1(heavy) if it hits once, wait for a kick or another swipe. You usually wait for the red icon for dodging if you do not see it try blocking because that will be the swipe right after that its gunna kick.

@@piga-puga-pigada Awesome, I’ve been playing the game for almost 2 weeks now and I’ve made some decent progress, I can get to the last part of the to1, I’ve been mainly focusing on honing my pve skills by going deepbound. I have barely explored the overworld though and I’ve never used any oaths apart from jetstriker and blindseer, nor have I fought any bosses like the Dread Serpent or Duke. I have never been to layer 2 either. It’s cool to see that you are still enjoying the game.
Only thing that fucks me over is the max level teamers that go around killing you everywhere
Huh. "Just parry block dodge, Just parry block dodge". Neat.
Agamatsu already made steps and explain on how to fight each monsters. Now all you have to do is basically do it
good content new sub this helped a lot knowing its like attack and defense thanks
Very good and useful video, thank you
Me not knowing anything at power 35, going to the depths and smacking literally anything that moves
Informative video. Thanks.
My friends gave me shit at the start on my first character so I've been trying not to kill my character cause of the fear of losing the shit they gave me. Prolly will do depths only solo progression on a new character and see how that goes. good vid
There's a funny glitch in the game that allows u to fly its kinda funny if u wanna learn how do it
so you basically just use the depths as a grinding gym if you know what you're doing, neat.
Ty for your guides i been able to solo most monsters because of them
that "And do it until you win" hits hard
you make it look like enemies actually spawn in the depths instead of health packs
once you get to a high enough lvl you can just stat check most monsters
A tip I could give isn’t to practice with other Roblox games, but with souls-like (Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne, etc.) because Deepwoken is way more like these games: when fighting an enemy, first analyse its attacks. Then, find moments where you can attack between each of its movements. Finally, profit.
Dumbest thing I've heard inna fat minute
@@itssyncx3537 Wym? This ain’t gpo. The way agamatsu said it reminded me of these games: you can’t just go and keep attacking over and over and over, you have to learn their patterns and play defensive
@@couikcouik Then play the game y wud u play another game my boy?
@@itssyncx3537 yes indeed good question
this helped so much!! I can farm depths now :))
0:35 the average rogue player after hearing this will kill themselves out of rage
sharko is one of the only ones you can m1 till they die, once you get around 200 hp
I'm gonna try this because I'm very worried to fight npcs cause I might get wiped but it's only natural that's the way you progress and improve
Now i dont want agamatsu to get a spec, but i dont want some recognition in lore like some sort of monster hunter title, depth dweller title or something
here i am now, doing the trial of one and i never fought any of those monsters but after 3 days of literally consistant death i did a flawless sharko there, probab next weekend I'll complete the trial since sharko was my only fear
Did you complete it?
@@WDPatftSoakp nope lmao
this helped alot, i panicked alot when fighting megalodaunts
ping is the real issue for me. For some reason whenever i start a fight with anything my ping increase from 120 to around 220 :(
Can you make a video about planning a build of your own? Like "How to plan a build"
When playing games that has scary monsters in it what I do to gain confidence is just listening to doom theme
The average Owl arrives, kicks everyone's ass, and leaves.
Best advice is to not panic when you get hit
I like doing to1 even tho it takes over 300+tries it will help a lot at the end when you master it
The thing that made me become not anxious under pressure was playing a sport cause like now when I’m anxious I play better but in turn after I win like pvp i am like shaking but shoot that’s only like REALLY close matches but yea pve isn’t to hard after watching this video I just kept wiping a freshie doing the uh trial of one for a minute then I did just depths and this seems less time taking (idk)
In Rogue, you're the danger. In Deepwoken, the enviornment is the danger.
This unironically helped.
Some tips I can actually use, might spend 1 - 2 hours playing in the depths
Alright thanks bro, I think I might be able to survive until level 50 now
one of the hardest enemies for me is mudskippers since they attack non stop and have broken reach where even if i roll away they still hit
@@ratenthusiast6763 even when i parry they attack too quick for me to get a hit off but ive learned to just spam mantra on them
@@kerbin3668 I hope ur better at fighting mudskippers now cuz they're like the easiest enemy in the game
During the crocodile attacking me I could feel that my blood was running everywhere in my body and I somehow escaped out of luck
P.S I was activating my sweaty and tryhard parkour mode to get away
you almost died to angels at 45!??!?!
ye I never fought it once
@@link3767 i fight it at level 1
@@Wxyvs- dang I escaped from 1 at the start and then 3 or 4 ganged up on me in a small building at a corner and thats how I wiped
@@link3767 :(
Watching this video a year later on christmas day, layer 2 is nuts. Enjoying it alot though
you could also do trial until you can do it easily (takes a long while)
My biggest problem is playing with high ping, but I also want to know how to time my parries. Do I press f at the end of the windup or at the beginning of the swing actually coming towards me?
Right when the swing is coming press f
Considering the delay caused by the ping, you have almost to predict it, since the ping will show you the windup later, and will recive your responce later, so with 200 ping, my best reacheable, it takes 200ms to the opponents action to appear on my screen, and it takes 200ms for the server to register my action. Half a secound delay, while the move may last like 300ms.
i found this very helpful ty
SHARKO: If your new against a sharko try this.
If it hits 2 times. parry it, hit 4(light) 3(medium) 1(heavy)
If it kicks, Dodge. Hit 4(light) 3(medium) 1(heavy)
if it hits once, wait for a kick or another swipe.
You usually wait for the red icon for dodging if you do not see it try blocking because that will be the swipe right after that its gunna kick.
Bro deepwoken was so immersive I literally forgot they were npc’s 💀
thanks for helping us
Dayum bro exposing my practice strat :(
Depths gon be hella populated now finding enemies to fight against was hard enough lol
