June Shade Garden Update

  • It's late June and I give you a glimpse into the shade garden, including an unexpected project that interrupted gardening in that area. Some unusual plants plus lots of pretty hostas fill up this area and look so lush this time of year. Lots more to come from this part of the perennial garden so stay tuned!

    We just moved to our farm in West Virginia and I now have huge maple trees that I want to do a shade garden under. I also have a root cellar with a rock wall on each side of it. This year I planted pumpkins on top of the rock wall in hopes of a few pumpkins hanging over the rocks for fall. The shade garden & veggie garden are my projects this year. I’ll tackle the rock wall next year. You have a beautiful garden. Great inspiration! You have a great eye for an aesthetically pleasing garden.
