If people instead search for rune farming methods or how to find specific items, or hell just how to install mods, they could get much more than what the would ever be able to pay for in no time at all. The character doesn't have a face of it's own, you are supposed to create your own character. Character customization is pretty good in this game. You can also mix and match a variety of armor and clothes. Also, when you play, i suggest that you don't care too much about armor stats, just wear what looks cool, and always stay in medium weight! Also, there really aren't conventional "classes" like other games. You have various starting sets, but ultimately, your build solely depends on what you level up.
I give you a recommendation, use everything that the game gives you, take advantage of everything, don't pay attention to what some people usually say, that you have to play the game in a certain way, don't pay attention to them and play your way and with the class that catches your attention and above all, be very patient, since the game does not make it easy for you.
I love how for a non EldenRing player Godrick (for most players the most easy main boss) looks very hard. just so fun seeing someone who never played elden ring see it for the first time

Experimentation is part of the game and one of the goals in yhe game is to find the place or person that allows the player to re-allocate attrubutes and levels (if needed). There are very few permanent mistakes when it comes to character creation, and all the starting gear is discoverable within the game. All the gear, weapons, and spells have minimum requirements when it comes to the character's statistics. Everything else is just learning what works best for you, or is most preferred. Every play-style us legitimate and what makes some enemies an easy breeze might not work as well in other situations or on different enemies. Every play-style us broken against something in the game.
I can literally have millions of runes with 2 clicks if i want, by cheating (and so do they), and its really easy because its not a multiplayer centered game at all, they dont even need to put any effort, and the thing is... people dont even need anyone to give them runes, you just get them by playing, tons of them! You die?(and you will, hundreds of times), and all your runes will be dropped in the ground, fail to recover them and you loose them ALL, and you know what? Its not a big deal, you gain and lose runes all the time in this game. This game isnt a game where you want to level up as much as possible, usually people just naturally play and by the end of the game they are arround level 100 to 150, without even grinding for a single minute, and yet, there is places where you can farm and get tens of thousands of runes in a whim. Take care man, they used you, and you fell for it, its alright, we see that it wasnt your intention to promote a scam, but double check next time.

One piece of advice i can give is don't let people decide how you're going to play the game but do try out every weapon you get because there is a place where you can allocate your stats exactly how you want them with a small cost. In short don't be afraid to commit to a build👍

Oh glad you're gonna give the game a try and become one more in the souls community. I'll leave some useful tips here that don't spoil anything about the game if you want 😉 Feel free to come back to this comment when you're playing ! - exploration is key, every corner can hold a new spell or armor, weapon etc. Armor is mostly for fashion, but some have better stats or even effects that can be useful in particular situations. - don't stay too much on a boss, perhaps you need to get stronger, after all it's an open world so have fun exploring and when you think you're ready try again, basically. - don't be afraid of dying, well don't commit suicide but you get my point 😅 Learn of your mistakes and try recognising the pattern of attacks of ennemies, it becomes easier once you've done it. Also, don't know why but rolling towards the enemy is best than away. - some particular events happen at night, you can pass the time in the sites of grace (basically checkpoints) and also level up there - dont attack NPC's unless you hace good reason to or out of defense, you might miss on important questlines and loot unique to the quest. One in particular that offers a lot of content is the one of a certain blue lady 👤 And also, this game and all of fromsoftware work in a way that you have to exhaust the dialogue out of an NPC, until he starts repeating himself over. - lore is indeed in item descriptions mostly, of any item really, but also in dialogues of NPC's. - there is a hole in the place you start, after you get certain crimson tears flasks (i won't say more to not spoil you) jump there, it's basically the turorial of the game and some of it's mechanics. - ultimately, have fun exploring whatever you like, i can't stress enough how important exploration is in this game. And try armors on to see what fits your style, try out weapons to see if you like them etc, have fun ultimately, don't let others tell you how you should play the game. Half the fun is how you create your build and character too. - don't worry too much what stats you level up just get what you need for the weapons you want etc, you will be able to reset your points spent in stats later on. And the classes in the beginning of the game too dont matter that much, only the first ten hours of the game id'say, so perhaps a 5% of it (yes it's a long game) All in all, have a lot of fun man ! 😊

@VictorNightroad The problem isn't selling in game items, the problem is the manipulative marketing that abuses people ignorant of how the game works and does not explain what the service really is. An experienced player with money to spare and a strict schedule could use the service to save time, sure. But that's not where most of their money comes from. Most of the money comes from naive people who don't realize they're paying money for things that are literally free. The website sells you things without telling you that you can get that thing in literally 5 minutes instead of spending multiple dollars on it.
Tgis is a bit of a harder game so I suggest you watch some gameplay tips video without spoilers. It helped a lot for me since this is also my first game in a long time since I stopped playing like you because I was busy with University stuffs. Now I loved it so much I have played all the Fromsoft games and they are the most respected and reliable developers out there and Miyazaki is my GOAT (He is the director for most of their game)

- exploration is key, every corner can hold a new spell or armor, weapon etc.
Armor is mostly for fashion, but some have better stats or even effects that can be useful in particular situations.
- don't stay too much on a boss, perhaps you need to get stronger, after all it's an open world so have fun exploring and when you think you're ready try again, basically.
- don't be afraid of dying, well don't commit suicide but you get my point 😅
Learn of your mistakes and try recognising the pattern of attacks of ennemies, it becomes easier once you've done it.
Also, don't know why but rolling towards the enemy is best than away.
- some particular events happen at night, you can pass the time in the sites of grace (basically checkpoints) and also level up there
- dont attack NPC's unless you hace good reason to or out of defense, you might miss on important questlines and loot unique to the quest.
One in particular that offers a lot of content is the one of a certain blue lady 👤
And also, this game and all of fromsoftware work in a way that you have to exhaust the dialogue out of an NPC, until he starts repeating himself over.
- lore is indeed in item descriptions mostly, of any item really, but also in dialogues of NPC's.
- there is a hole in the place you start, after you get certain crimson tears flasks (i won't say more to not spoil you) jump there, it's basically the turorial of the game and some of it's mechanics.
- ultimately, have fun exploring whatever you like, i can't stress enough how important exploration is in this game.
And try armors on to see what fits your style, try out weapons to see if you like them etc, have fun ultimately, don't let others tell you how you should play the game.
Half the fun is how you create your build and character too.
- don't worry too much what stats you level up just get what you need for the weapons you want etc, you will be able to reset your points spent in stats later on.
And the classes in the beginning of the game too dont matter that much, only the first ten hours of the game id'say, so perhaps a 5% of it (yes it's a long game)

It's a third party site who sells goods , and you know what ? These sites work for ages as there is a huge demand for them ..are they good or bad ? That's up to every individual to question the morality of such a service but it nobody's right to call it a scam as it does not scam people into anything ! People should do their research beforehand !
@VictorNightroad The problem isn't selling in game items, the problem is the manipulative marketing that abuses people ignorant of how the game works and does not explain what the service really is.
An experienced player with money to spare and a strict schedule could use the service to save time, sure. But that's not where most of their money comes from. Most of the money comes from naive people who don't realize they're paying money for things that are literally free. The website sells you things without telling you that you can get that thing in literally 5 minutes instead of spending multiple dollars on it.

Tgis is a bit of a harder game so I suggest you watch some gameplay tips video without spoilers. It helped a lot for me since this is also my first game in a long time since I stopped playing like you because I was busy with University stuffs. Now I loved it so much I have played all the Fromsoft games and they are the most respected and reliable developers out there and Miyazaki is my GOAT (He is the director for most of their game)
