Getting that hammer maxed out really made a big difference. It went from killing popcorn and stunning everything else to actually clearing like 75% of the spawns and weakening the big boys greatly.
I just finished the last row of assignments on challenge yesterday. I used droneyard with tesla for every one except for Projectile Hell which I used sword dome for deflection. I love how many ways you can play this game!
Why tesla tho? I've tried it many times, but every time it just seems incredibly underpowered compared to something like artillery dome.
@@kindatim I guess I tried Tesla once and just stuck with it. All the domes are powerful with enough upgrades but you gotta find the balance of economy, weapon, and enemy types to know when to push which upgrades. Artillery is actually the dome I've played the least so maybe I made it harder on myself than needed!
@@kindatim I'd put Tesla and artillery at the same level when fully upgraded. Tesla just has a weaker start.

Artillery Dome with the quadruple shell upgrade made this challenge fairly easy. Supplement upgrade for that weapon acts like another stun too, works well with the Hammer.

I always get a bit of a rage, when Blitz doesn´t buy the goddamn rotatinal speed for the cannon
Seriously makes me twitchy. Especially in games like this with lots of monsters all over the place, you NEED to move your weapon quickly.
It’s even worse when he doesn’t get the split laser, it’s so good
@@daxain7368 I dunno, when I'm using the laser dome I prefer being able to kill big monsters faster over having a laser shooting at each side. But I favor the artillery dome, so maybe it's better than I'm giving it credit for.

You need to learn, drones + artillery dome is the strongest combo. Drones are better than shield in every situation, you just need to focus on getting combat drones and weapon upgrades first for this one. That's how I beat the challenge mode. For gadgets, I had the spire and dome armor, I don't remember what else. Also with drones, you don't need the lift, so you can just start with the iron worms and get some extra iron early, since unupgraded worms pull out the resources pretty fast and guarantee 3 per tile. For supplements, I rerolled for things like dome resurrection and the ones that reduce melee and ranged damage.
Actually, a good strat when starting with iron worms and drones is to dig straight down until you find a slightly deeper iron vein, since they're usually bigger, then drop the worm off there before you go back up and start mining near the dome. You can carry anything you mine out, meanwhile the initial drone will be bringing stuff up from the worm.
I like how he just forgets that he has like 50 iron lying around.
The drone yard is incredibly good, once you upgrade them enough it removes the need for you to carry resources on your own. And they’ll do the work for you. Not to mention the fact that they can also pick up packed resources.
You can go an entire run without needing to upgrade carrying capacity when using them.
I like the part where blitz said it's bonk time and bonked all over the places

The thing about the 'monster masses' challenge is it is high wave strength, but specifically only low tier monsters. Thats why a tool like the hammer becomes so powerful there. Now that you have it unlocked, maybe start with it in the Challenge Mode version along with the lift?

Your Cobalt will go a lot further if you upgrade your dome health before using it for repairs. Also, as far as another dome working better, the laser dome is really good here had you taken the double laser.

When you're trying to "bulldoze" material, you should try flying closer to the ground to make sure you don't accidentally lift them up
i know a nice combo with the hammer which includes parasidic drones and having only the suplement for the hammer, it makes the hammer have low recharge but it still one shots everything, and artilery dome is great for cleaning up the straglers
I’m not sure Blitz knows this but for one water there’s so much less stress, shows inventory and more importantly automatically uses a cobalt to repair when health hits 0

The artillery Dome with the blast radius path might be good for the challenge mode of that mission

I feel that the artillery dome could work better, especially when you go down the path with multiple shots to focus more on the aoe and less on the damage, and getting the angle upgrade so you can use the AA on ground units.
Of course you had so much trouble with this challenge if you used this slow laser dome.

When you have the Bedrock Drill, I've seen side pockets that are disconnected from the main dig site.
I'm not sure if they show up in the end report unless you dig close enough to activate them.... Or if it was just a twisted artefact caused by the world generator messing up, but I have seen a few.
use sword dome, you might get the stab bomb supploement. then use the shockwave hammer. its pretty good combination

@Blitz really important! so in dome keeper you can get iron from the iron tree without any ores near by (for example) say you have an empty row of rock that is useless and near the dome that rock will create iron with the seed/iron tree and once it grows you don't actully need to get it you can just leave it and the iron will fall off the tree and build up and then you can grab it later and keep doing that (okay maybe not that important but still cool) hope you this this so it helps you out! :)
Hell yeah! I had to beat this using the stun lazer frozen time trick. It felt like cheating but its the only way I could find. Tried maybe 20 runs first
