      There are enough crocs in local river systems to keep you vigilant when near the waters edge! Your days of safely bait netting the Bohle are definitely over. Thanks for your comment!👍

      Too true! It definitely felt that way! Not an ideal spot for a swim! What type of fish do you target in your local area?

    • @returnoutdoors2210
      @returnoutdoors2210  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching! I fish with braid and use roughly 2 metres of 40 to 60 pound mono leader. Have you been having any luck with the Barra lately?

      It doesn’t make any real difference how the fish is bled. I do it out of habit from time spent as a fishing guide when clients like to take photos of their catch. It leaves the fish presentable for the photos. Thanks for watching!

    What size hook do you use.

    • @returnoutdoors2210
      @returnoutdoors2210  2 года назад

      If fishing with light line I use a smaller hook such as a 4/0 wide gap hook. When fishing with a heavier line, I’ll use up to a 6/0 wide gap hook. Hope this s helpful. If you’ve got any other questions, please ask.

      @@returnoutdoors2210 thanks mate. We fished that snag last sat night on incoming tide but no luck. Was that an outgoing tide. Good video

    • @returnoutdoors2210
      @returnoutdoors2210  2 года назад +1

      Yes, it was an outgoing tide. It’s a case of finding where the fish are sitting on any given tide. That’s the hard bit - good luck!

    What weight line and leader do you use? Barra virgin here!! Lol

    • @returnoutdoors2210
      @returnoutdoors2210  Год назад

      I usually fish with a 10 to 12kg main line attached to a 40 to 60lb leader. I prefer the lighter leader when fishing with live prawns. Thanks for your watching!

    What an amazing video, the only thing I would say about your videos is they are much too short.
    So many people will tell you to keep it short or people will not watch, but the truth is on all the channels that make it large they now are doing an hour or more and people sit watching them all the way through.
    My suggestion is to maybe put a little more of the content that you remove out and allow that into your videos, it is a completely different thing to split the content up into more 12-minute clips for a week or month than a full video running through,
    anyway the content is amazing just would love more length is all I am saying.
    Can I ask what the difference is between your two Cast nets is, I used to run a draw sting and a top and bottom pocket 12 feet so when the prawns were running in Brisbane we used to have a ball chasing them.
    They were some lovely fish and I love a good feed of fish you caught yourself, in fact, we used to cook snapper immediately on return from the trip and while cleaning up we were already cooking and I can tell you there is no fish like Ice Slurry fish cooked straight out of the mix.
    As well some of the best memories are with My Mate and me at these times talking the usual fish tales and looking through the ice slurry for MY record fish which obviously shrunk in the slurry? It's a known fact.
