Gday mate 5 good barras and a bit , when i was in townsville we used to go bait netting in the bohle river talking to mates still there you wouldnt be doing that now they rekon there are crocs in the river now good video the fishin is good there .
There are enough crocs in local river systems to keep you vigilant when near the waters edge! Your days of safely bait netting the Bohle are definitely over. Thanks for your comment!👍
I just found your channel this afternoon and have watched most of the videos - fantastic footage and some awesome fishing action. Well done - I can see a lot of work goes into the production and editing - excellent work!
It doesn’t make any real difference how the fish is bled. I do it out of habit from time spent as a fishing guide when clients like to take photos of their catch. It leaves the fish presentable for the photos. Thanks for watching!
If fishing with light line I use a smaller hook such as a 4/0 wide gap hook. When fishing with a heavier line, I’ll use up to a 6/0 wide gap hook. Hope this s helpful. If you’ve got any other questions, please ask.
I usually fish with a 10 to 12kg main line attached to a 40 to 60lb leader. I prefer the lighter leader when fishing with live prawns. Thanks for your watching!
What an amazing video, the only thing I would say about your videos is they are much too short. So many people will tell you to keep it short or people will not watch, but the truth is on all the channels that make it large they now are doing an hour or more and people sit watching them all the way through. My suggestion is to maybe put a little more of the content that you remove out and allow that into your videos, it is a completely different thing to split the content up into more 12-minute clips for a week or month than a full video running through, anyway the content is amazing just would love more length is all I am saying. Can I ask what the difference is between your two Cast nets is, I used to run a draw sting and a top and bottom pocket 12 feet so when the prawns were running in Brisbane we used to have a ball chasing them. They were some lovely fish and I love a good feed of fish you caught yourself, in fact, we used to cook snapper immediately on return from the trip and while cleaning up we were already cooking and I can tell you there is no fish like Ice Slurry fish cooked straight out of the mix. As well some of the best memories are with My Mate and me at these times talking the usual fish tales and looking through the ice slurry for MY record fish which obviously shrunk in the slurry? It's a known fact.
Great fishing mate ! Good to find local channels to watch

Thanks for watching!👍
North Australian fishing. Can't be beat!
Certainly a fantastic location to explore and fish! Thanks for your comment.
You need a bigger landing net... or smaller bait. Thanks for the video. Awesome
Too true! It definitely felt that way! Not an ideal spot for a swim! What type of fish do you target in your local area?
great video mate cheers. do you run braid or mono for live baiting?
Thanks for watching! I fish with braid and use roughly 2 metres of 40 to 60 pound mono leader. Have you been having any luck with the Barra lately?
great fishing mate wha rod are you using
The rods I am using are Shimano Revolutions, Line PE 2-4. Thanks for your comment! 👍
What river in Townsville is this clip made?
I usually fish and crab river systems between Airlie Beach and Mission Beach! Thanks for your question!👍
Yes good from indonesia
Thanks for watching!👍
Great video Why do you cut around the throat rather than thru it

@@returnoutdoors2210 Will try out some of your methods to catch barra .Only used floats before so will try your method Thanks
Good luck with the fishing!👍

@@returnoutdoors2210 thanks mate. We fished that snag last sat night on incoming tide but no luck. Was that an outgoing tide. Good video
Yes, it was an outgoing tide. It’s a case of finding where the fish are sitting on any given tide. That’s the hard bit - good luck!
What weight line and leader do you use? Barra virgin here!! Lol

Glad you enjoyed. It is definitely a tough decision knowing how long to make each video. Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback.👍
Should upgrade to the Penn battle will never look back
I’m always keen to try new tackle - I’ll check them out. Thanks for the advice! What sort of rod would you pair it up with?
