I had to sell my art supplies years ago. But, I kept my sewing machine. I was still sewing clothes for my girls, and then began watching tutorials on RUclips. I love big bold colors. My girl's clothing wasn't like this, but I began sewing simple things as well as quilts. I would downsize quilt patterns, making baby size/doll sized quilts. Someone saw this and paid me to sew these for his antique shop. It would help sell cradles and cribs. I sewed table runners to him, selling furniture. Ironically, sometimes they wanted my sewing instead of the furniture. I began selling all kinds of things at our local farmer's market. My Amish Star potholders I sold out of every sale, bowl cozies and table runners. All using scraps from quilts I was sewing from church. My overhead was quite low. I started making tote bags as well, and jewelry. The person I ordered my supplies from was in love with my jewelry. He modeled and wanted to wear some of my jewelry. After seeing the jewelry, he still was confused as to what I used in the bezels and cabochons. I sheepishly told him, usually fabric, sometimes fingernail polish. He tried and couldn't get it to work.😊❤ Anyway, long story short, big bold colors are my favorite, making quilts that had more than one geometric pattern going on...and never wasting my scraps 😊❤ I get ideas from watching you, secretly wishing I still had my art supplies.
Thank you for sharing sharon! Big bold colors are my favorite too. But maybe you will have time and space to paint again in the future! Just because it isn't right for you now doesn't mean it will be that way forever!
Look up my cousins wife Caroline Senn she makes art with fabric. It's really neat and absolutely an illusion seeing it in a gallery setting. Dan Senn has several videos of her on RUclips.
One of my favorite baby blankets I ever knit was white, navy and lime green! I pulled the colors from the bedding they had selected and it turned out so pretty!
OMG,Molly!! All of these are gorgeous!! You have such talent and vision. Truly remarkable! I love the line green!! So pretty💚 Thanks so much for sharing all of these!!❤️
Green is one of my favourite colours in pretty much any place. I love how you used it in each of these, unafraid of its vibrancy. I did art A level years ago, and lost my love of art as a result. The focus was on realistic and structured paintings, whereas I loved texture and colour. The first picture in this video was sublime - it's everything about art that I love, and reminds me what art can and should be ❤
Molly I have been a follower for a long time. I've learned so much from you and if I get lost, I just go back and find t h e video I need t o get figured out. Thank you for sharing your talent and you passion.
I loved the first one, and the diptych, the black background definitely my favorite on the triptych, but the triptych looked really good when put on the wall together, you are certainly moving forward as an artist Molly 😄
that was So enjoyable and learning experience!!! Thank you that is s color that can be overwhelming or a bit scary… and this shows it Doesnt have to be
Wow Molly they are all stunning. I tend to use lime green and similar greens in paintings. I will say not my ultimate favorite color, but like you said. If concience about choices they come out amazing.
That first one is SO cool! I think that one is my favorite! I love them all, even though lime green isn't exactly my favorite, but I love seeing the different ways you used it!!
I'm not usually a fan of green in artwork but I have to say the lime green really does something great to somehow compliment the other colours xx really gorgeous. My favourite was the first one 😊
Hi! I use regular paint and mix it with gloss soft or medium gel. I don't measure how much of each though I just go by feel. You can use modeling paste too.
They each bring something to the table and while I would've never thought of lime green with these colors, thank you for showing us how they work together. The scorpion pour actually screamed "Beetlejuice " to me for so unknown reason. I'll have to watch it again to figure out why😂😂😂
I especially love the first painting. What brand of lime green do you use? Did you wait until the painting was dry before adding the leaves and flowers? Your work and teaching are very special!
I had totally forgotten about that last piece you did - the triptych with magenta. That turned out so pretty! I have so many painting ideas to try out but I'm currently on a resin kick making stuff to sell at craft fairs and markets (just made some dragon eye notebooks and I'm so in love with them!
@@MOLLYSARTISTRY thanks! Not done too well so far so considering moving online to see if an online shop would help but it may just be that no-one really does the little craft fair things until nearer Christmas so we will see.
Love your work and happy personality. Do you have any video of beach and sea foam swipe painting? Like half blues and half tan canvas with white cells?
Hi Molly, these lime green combinations are amazing. Thank you for showing us. Molly I no that sometimes your commissions don’t always work out on the first try. I need your advice please. I am working on a 30x30 inch commission and my question is… Molly if you have to make 2 or 3 redos on a really huge commission do you charge the client for the redos or do you pay for it yourself. Because I’m spending lots of money trying to get this commission just right. I’d be forever grateful for your wise advice

Lime 💚 lime green also in clothes.
Your video is so inspirational!!! Was that a simple blow dryer you were using?
At the 6:21 mark, l love that curtain effect and the cloud look of the lime and white above. Are those all the same formula PMs? So pretty
Thanks! That one was paint and water only for that one
@MOLLYSARTISTRY thanks so much for sharing. I love it.
I'd like to see you swipe with silver and gold.
Как то смотрела фильм АВАТАР и поражалась воображению художников фильма. Сейчас тоже самое.
