i couldn't agree more about not knowing what sound irene would go for because shes so unpredictable. but this song is so HER. soft and elegant, but still packs a punch. i can't wait for all the performances to see the choerooooo.
Irene's taste of music isn't balladand she isn't the type of singer who sings ballad music and it's not her genra of music...she likes EDM and her genra of music is always EDM .
I’m so glad you said Afrobeat. Irene likes such rhythms, but if she says it again she is ridiculously considered rascist - though all rock, jazz, and pop has roots in African music and admiring something is not rascist or misappropriation - it’s just admiration.
i’m obsessed with this song! it’s so pretty!! like her! i literally cried lmao (i cried during the whole album tbh it’s full of affirmations) im so proud of her!!!!!
I was scared cause I didn't know what to expect but wow she delivered! The choreography, the mv, everything suits her. The song is more on the afrobeats side because amapiano tends to have a lot of that drum sounds in if that makes sense
This song is so gorgeous I’m so proud of her we’ve been waiting for this and I love the concept of self love and growing into yourself like a flower she ate this up
Me being from South Africa, this really gives me South African deep house music vibes. It literally sounds amazing, sounds like some artists we have here, namely Liquideep, DJ Kent, Da Capo, Black Coffee, Monique Bingham etc(many more), just to name a few(check them out). I am living for it, instantly on my playlist.
Fifi, I been twerking my ass off when Like A Flower by Irene is released! Imagine Irene collaborate with Tyla on her next album, my wig will definitely fly away for sure.
Indeed!!!! In most other groups she could be on top, except she is surrounded by the sublime voices of Wendy, Seulgi, and Joy. She most definitely has a good, stable voice and an excellent sense of rhythm.
I love that it wasn't some sad love song. Or someone stuck in the past and hooked on a toxic ex. It was so upbeat and Afro-centric. Irene hit the mark 🤗💖🎉
She gagged me tbh I expected something more ballad-like and this is definitely not that.. what a queen 😍 Editing this cause you said the same thing, Im cackling 🤣
i’m curious what people’s rankings are of the following solo artists debuts. Wendy, Seulgi, Irene, Joy, Miyeon, Yuqi. Here is myranking Miyeon Irene Seulgi Yuqi Wendy Joy
@ lmfao SORRY. I just really liked miyeon’s solo. I’m not a G-Idle stan. I don’t stan them. Just trying to use another group to compare. :/ i could have included twice too, but the list would have been so long. The crtieria was what slapped right off the bat for me and made me want to relisten immediately :)
Impossible choice for an OT5 Reveluv. The voices are distinctively different, as are the albums. For me - any RV member that does R&B is a winner. Put each member’s R&B solos on one album - that’s the winning album.

No cause this was legit so unexpected even tho she’s my bias. why is this the best solo in red velvet.

@@fifizappareacts please do, i'm sure you'll enjoy it. There is also Four7 and Luke M, their music was also the same style/genre.
I'm happy for Irene debut this song is amazing ❤
I'm glad that she choose among of 8 songs and she pick this song and album, like it's so HER . Love it irene.
This was giving very much calm HOUSE music, some elements of the choreo are also house
it's such a pretty song like every part is delicious
