84 vettes were probably the edgiest of the new vettes. You either loved them or hated them. The handling and performance were great but the ride was harsh.
Problem with that logic is that then you have to reclassify the 78-82 as C4 because they were cosmetically different than the 68-77. Then the 84-89 becomes C5 and 90-96 becomes C6. etc. I understand your comment tho. The 90-96 has a different interior and changes to the drive-train. The C4 received continual development. 911s have 50 yrs of continual development that's why they're still 911s, even tho new ones have little in common with classic 911s.
I got a good deal on a 1986 Corvette that needed some attention and installed a Magnaflow Catback Exhaust. It sounds great and can be found on RUclips.
I love how knowledgeable you are on these c4 corvettes! For someone who deals with as many different exotics makes & models of cars ect... you sure do have a perfect knowledge base for this 86 and seem like you really genuinely like them.
There's a great episode of Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson destroys a C4 Vette with a 64 caliber mini gun mounted on a helicopter! Makes me smile every time I watch it!
I owned an 85 and an 87. Both pieces of Shit. Still regret trading my 4 speed Red on Oyster 1980 for that 85. Now I'm back to an 81. But I love listening to Tony Fleming describe his cars!
I know this is a really late reply, but with this car it depends if you floor it or not but the answer you could get 20 miles per gallon with the 86 corvette.
The first commercial CD was produced on August 17, 1982. The first popular CD was produced in 1981.
Price changed twice. The Tuned port came out in 85' I do like the car thanks for the video.
It's only 12k, it's only 12,9 when you get there, it will be 13.5
1986 is a Good Corvette, 1986 was the year the Corvette had ABS brakes.
More than that, the 86 Vette was the first car in the US which ever had ABS at all.
Saved me a wreck too

The CD hadn't been invented yet? The CD was introduced back in 1982.

He's correct. I have a CD player that was made in 1982. The Akai CD-D1.
Matt Miller: You have a very nice part of history ! By the way: The Sony CDP-101 was the first
