@@Phantom.axa. Hi, Ali. I think what Bob is trying to say is that he has an ordinary life, but when he paints, he can do extraordinary things.
It's not sad, it's more like a motivation quote to help us see we have the power to create our own world on the canvas.

I missed a couple days of Joy and my weekend just wasn't the same :o happy painting and God bless my friend. Rest easy.. paint us a happy sky tomorrow from heaven. That'd be nice.
That last song at the end is such a contrast to Bob's voice!!! I'm relaxed and then the ending song startles me sometimes.

Absolutely mesmerizing , every time I see him paint semelingy effortlessy I watch every stroke and say how the hell did he do that even after watching him do that. Hypnotic I am under his control for 28 minutes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this painting. I think of all the mountains he has painted, and I have seen a number of them, this one has to be my favorite. He didn't put a pond in till the last couple of minutes and made it look so easy. I love Bob Ross and his painting technique.

I can see that landscapes, seascapes, mountains and snow covered cabins really is Bob's thing. But is there any episode where he paints something out of the ordinary? An animal grazing in the distance or some flowers in his landscape? Stunning work, and great tips, nontheless!

Yeah, he has a LOT on his mind. I can hear it in his voice. I miss seeing him . . . and painting along with him. I used to watch him every week. His comments are a reflection of the depth of his emotions.
Only Bob Ross could make it sound like you could have a mountain for a pet and it doesn't sound crazy!!!

With utter respect to the marvelous, Bob Ross, and to his legacy as well. Admirable.
But.
I've been reading the comments here, spanning several years.
Yes, Mr. Ross learned, from his friend, and fellow rebellious artist, Bill Alexander, the 16th-century style of painting called "alla prima" (Italian for "first attempt"), better known as "wet-on-wet"
Yup, we can all see, in every single one of the 403 episodes, that this dude grooves. He's a really good flippin' artist! He introduced black and grey gesso as an undercoat which was revolutionary to wet-on-wet.
Pretty cool stuff.

What about when he said "anybody can do this" though...
I declare that, I, most certainly can NOT paint this beatific wonder Mr. Ross! May I even go so far as to say, most humbly, that, I could not even IMAGINE such a place so breathtaking could exist.
Until YOU painted it! You even out-imagined me as well!
I'm kidding, of course. About being upset.
But not about the Dr. Suess rejections I end up painting.
It's not Bob's fault he could do what he did. Whilst encouraging total strangers to join in and learn just enough of this "lazy" style to be able to succeed and really experience the joy of painting, he got so much practice doing it, keeping his "chops" up, and, as is apparent in the result of this episode's journey, flex them skills like a BOSS

Fun Fact Abut Bob Ross: Bob accidentally cut a part of his index finger on his left hand, he hides it by holding the palette!

if that is true...how could that be a fun fact? I am certain if he lost his finger it hurt really bad, and loosing a finger, leg or arm it is horrible. They get phantom pain...nothing fun about that.

Season 25 was always the hardest one to watch. Some of his best Saturn Lori, but his wife died and he found out about his cancer so you started hearing him say some darker things

Carlos Murillo that's what I'm thinking. Not only him either cause his mom passed around this time. I definitely noticed a change in his humor between the latter episodes and the earlier ones.
Drug Miller Same. A lot less joyous beating the devil out of his paintbrush and general optimism. Can't blame the poor guy, but it's rather depressing. Well, either way, he's not sad anymore.
Carlos Murillo right he definitely seemed to have handled his personal issues a lot better than myself and a lot of people would have. Truly a peaceful spirited man.
