    the amount of times i’ve used the “rest is better than absolutely no sleep” when i couldn’t sleep… it has helped me so incredibly much.

    Speaking from experience I would be a mess of hollow eyes and tears after 32 hours with no sleep. The fact Tory and Kari are so functional and able to even comprehend these challenges without sleep is amazing in itself.

      Yep... I've done a lot of stints providing medical backup for bushfire crews with St. John Ambulance here in Australia and sometimes we've been out for a week or more at a time. Being a registered nurse and having the training to drive the LandCruiser ambulances meant that I had to be able to continue to go out with the firefighting crews until the disaster was over and that meant full nights of sleep just wasn't gonna happen.
      So you learn to take the 30min nap whenever you can get it, but you have to be careful never to sleep for too long. If you do get called to respond to an emergency, you're not in a deep sleep and then you can switch yourself back on almost immediately to make those complex and time critical decisions.
      It's something you can learn to do and it does work. Soldiers in active theatres of war learn to do the same thing.
      But man it feels good to get into your bed after doing that for five or six nights in a row! Because it's certainly not good for you.

    I have spent my life at sesa;
    (a) You only ever coil wire rope over under.
    (b) If it does it once out of ten, then you have to warn lanlubbers NOT to step into a coil.
    (c) A human being more flexable would NOT act like a plastic doll, and would get pulled over the side not stopping.
    (d) You are giving tests to people who have no idea what they are doing. these guys can do it in their sleep.
    (e) You coiled at least one of those coils, LEFT HANDED. Only a fool breaks the right handed rule.
    I could not watch any more of this crap.
