The knock on effect of the Indian elections was felt right here in the UAE, with the Indian Premier League matching being played across the nation.
Eight teams and thousands of fans enjoyed a 2 week carnival of cricket.
And while fans from the Indian subcontinent have been queuing up for tickets, there's also been keen interest from expats and locals.
So how does such a high profile event impact the UAE's own national team?
