  • In this video, we're going to make an easy Thai Basil Fry - Pad Kra Pao at Home. Pad Kra Pao is a popular Thai stir fry dish made with Thai basil, garlic, Thai chili peppers, chicken, oyster sauce, fish sauce and cooking oil. It's super easy and comes together really quick.
    This easy Thai Basil Fry - Pad Kra Pao recipe is quick and easy to make, and it's perfect for a weeknight dinner. We'll start by preparing the garlic and pepper by using a food processor to blend them together. Feel free to use the protein of your choice. I used ground chicken thigh. Traditionally, this Thai dish is made with ground pork but feel free to use ground chicken breast, ground turkey or ground beef. I haven't been able to find Thai holy basil in my region so I just use Thai basil that I find at my local Asian grocery market. If you are not able to find Thai basil, go ahead and use regular basil from your local grocery store. That's pretty much the preparation. My Thai Basil Stir Fry recipe listed below makes one serving. Remember you can taste after it's cooked if you would like to make it spicer and saltier. That's the best part of making Thai Basil Stir Fry at home.
    Easy Thai Basil Stir Fry - Pad Kra Pao Recipe:
    8 ounces of ground chicken thigh
    4 garlic
    Thai dried chili peppers (depends on your spice level)
    Thai bird's eye chili peppers (depends on your spice level)
    1/2 cup Thai Basil
    1 1/2 TBS oyster sauce (depends on your level of saltiness)
    1 tsp fish sauce (depends on your level of saltiness)
    1 TBS cooking oil
