Jan you have done a great job , far better than kitchen foil will save that for the Christmas Turkey , should have said sparrow for us pensioners, well done .
You got some tea on the go; that’s the most important bit. I guess my only concern with foil is its impact on breathability of single brick exterior walls in that area (older house etc). Because you’re sealing it up? Granted, not a huge area.
Some off the foil I’m looking at doesn’t attach to the wall , they are just slotted over the brackets . Which is the best way to fit With tape or not ? Also what thickness was your foil Jan cheers Paul
Jan, you must have been reading my mind! I was just thinking of doing the same job when I saw that foil in Aldi. Best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪.
Good luck with it James.

You are right!
You clever little minx Jan. On my way to that well known store to get some. Take care. All the best to you both... 😉
Cheers Dave. All the best mate.
Nicely done Jan! Camera man agrees I'm sure.
Sure does Juliet.
I stapled my insulation to a 3mm cut sheet of plywood and slid that down behind the radiators after cutting notches for the radiator wall brackets.
Great tip Das thanks..
Great stuff .. wish I could get my missus to do it 👍
Next time! If your lucky ha ha.

Not a large enough area to worry.
Hi Jan
Which roll did you use and where did you get it from? Thank you
O I got it from Amazon. Not sure what make though, but they are all similar.
Thank you very much for your nice ideas, can you please tell me what the purpose of this foil??
To reflect the heat back into the room and not be absorbed into the wall behind the rad.
Good video
Thanks.

Foil was 12 mm thick, Slotted over brackets is good, as tape can come away after time with the heat.
12mm thick, are you sure?
