  • Join John and Jane Edwards as they share the wonders of their extraordinary nine-month voyage from the Gold Coast on the east coast of Australia up and over to the west coast, ultimately arriving in Perth, 5,280 nautical miles later. John took one look at the Riviera 50 Enclosed Flybridge (now the Riviera 54) at the Sydney Boat Show and says it was “night and day” compared to other offers.
“It was an obvious choice. We were looking for more features and this Riviera has a better cabin configuration, better and more modern ideas.”
The Riviera 50 Enclosed Flybridge is known for its considered design; it features open-plan living and has an aft galley which overlooks the cockpit."

Very well said. Riviera do indeed make THE best boats in the world, and they are capable of so much. Wishing you the best in the future John and jane!

I'm in the novice area and have my boat and jetski licence, but as a very active single retiree you have inspired me. I was looking at the 5400 sport and 645 SUV so I'll have to check their suitability for long range cruising.
I might need to find a Sheila who enjoys boating as I'm sure I will enjoy the trip much more with someone to share those wonderful experiences with.
If anyone out there is interested drop a line here with a photo of your Riviera yacht 🙂
