We bought some land and got planning permission for our new farm yard and business and have woked dam hard all my life to achieve this and now Ed miliband has just passed a 40000 acre solar farm and looks set to pass another 9000 acre and all the cabbles are going straight through our field totally recking our plans and business theses companies are doing what they want they are foreign companies and any profit generated will go straight out of the uk its all good land that will be full of waist when they have done this is not about the environment its about money the country is fucked

Solar panels should be on every roof, carparks and everywhere in the industrial landscape not in the countryside and certainly not on fields.
If solar and “saving the planet” was the real goal they would make every new build house have them as part of the planning permission, but no, they don’t want ordinary people to have access to solar power and don’t really give a stuff about the environment….. money money money and power over us is all these evil sods desire. We need to start buying direct from our farmers.
They are wanting to reduce farming so the developed countries have to import food from places like Africa. So Africa develops and there is a transfer of the Western wealth to Africa. Redistribution of wealth. Just like the WEF told them to do. Bankrupting farmers by grabbing their inherited wealth achieved from hard work to re allocate to other stuff like building houses for "special needs" is a bonus for Labour.
It is not just about farmers, it's about everyone living.

The UK is done
Not just farming. Death duty tax increases will encourage more people to spend their savings or give them away. The result will be that investment cash will plummet and disappear on entertainment and trivia, or simply handed over earlier to childen and grandchildren. The overall effect will be "live for today" society where no one looks to the future. A bit like Africa.
Sympathise, I have long since retired, but was blessed to inherite a farm in the same way after working for 15years for not much . God bless these young people in farming.
In January 1984, I was left a farm along with my brother inheritance tax was still in place which costs both of use enormous sum of money by the September it had been abolished, but we still had to pay and we both had to sell. Labour and the Welsh government are systematically going to tax people with above average wealth assets such as valuable homes second homes, land and farms . The farmers argument is that it’s been in my family for generations. Well let me tell you the labour party wouldn’t care at toot about how hard generations before you have worked for them, it’s just wealth to them and they want you money!
They don't just want your money and your land they want to own you body and soul. Starmer's march to a totalitarian state goes on and he's already making dire changes to the constitution to further his aims. Own nothing and be happy is their mantra. Heaven help us all.

Through this, I can see many historic barns being pulled down and architecture lost - just to escape taxation.
I can see a great many small farms going under the hammer, to join the many already owned by big farming corporations, standardising food even more and costing more livelihoods.

I've just heard news that our county has been selected to become the new national park in Scotland.
93% of farmers oppose it, having communicated with farmers in other national parks and learned of the tight regulations.
I'm keeping an ear open to learn where the borders are going to be. I don't have a farm, but I have a small agricultural field that I am planting gradually as a young orchard/permaculture/with scattered wildlife zones throughout, and now raising ducklings as pest control and possible income generator. I'm concerned that if pur property falls in the national park, I'm going to be forced to change my plans by people who know nothing of the situation here.
It is not just farming that the current government will destroy. It is the entire country.

Use screw piles and build ‘temporary buildings.” They become moveable assets which ‘depreciate’ and then are allowable for tax purposes …. Then the write down value is virtually nil at the end of life …. Labour will always try and take your energy and power away from you, but bear in mind, these bureaucrats them, produce anything without your energy they would have no income and would not survive … tell them who’s boss 👍👏
No farmers no food all part of the plan.
During the last three years of the last Labour government we lost 60 thousand business' , not jobs but business'. So probably 90 thousand jobs. Then add on the mechanics, seed and fertilizer suppliers , vets etc. It was a disaster.
Eighteen months into the Tory government Tata steel laid off 2 thousand workers. Outrage from the Labour opposition.

I tell anyone who will listen to keep a full pantry. Food shortage is a certainty.
Some of us are watching what they are doing, replacing the nature with new build houses and replacing the local communities with these new people, now trying to build loads of solar panels and saying thats better for the earth while they instead import the meat from australia or argentina on a huge ship that burns crude oil. Some have said theres less insects this year and it does seem that way in my garden, and some have even said the plants are not growing properly, im not sure about that one.
