    That Has to be the smoothest transition between the frame and stubs I've seen. Wish I had seen this before I did mine. Nice work guys! 👏

    Thank you for sharing this , I love the way you've done the frame , curious what boxed tubing you used for this ? 2x4 dom ?

    • @loudnuglygarage
      @loudnuglygarage  Год назад +1

      It’s just some 2x4 steel from our local steel supplier! It is not DOM

    Who made the front axle and specs on front leaf springs?

  • @TheRetroagogo

    What was that measurement you were able to pull off of your truck loaded with he weight on it? I mean from the centerline of the spindle to the centerline of the front spring perch bracket? I'm trying to locate my front spring perch on the same car with the exact speedway set up as you, and don't want any surprises when I set the motor in the car or bolt the front fenders on. Thanks!!

      I know in one of the videos I explain how we measured I’m not sure which one I covered that in! I think we used a custom made spring spreader to apply a load to it while we tacked it into place! I can measure the distance it is tomorrow to get ya close tho!

      @@loudnuglygarage That would be great, thank you!

      @@TheRetroagogo Bolt hole to bolt for the leaf spring perches is 32 1/8 and centerline of axle to centerline of my front spring perch is 16 1/4. But I wouldn’t run it the exact same as mine make sure you properly set it up per weight of your vehicle so the shackle works properly.

      @@loudnuglygarage cool i appreciate it, just a couple more questions. What’s the square tubing size and wall diameter? And what gear box do y’all plan on using?

      @@quickspoolgarage 2x4 we used 1/8th inch but 3/16th would be good too! A Vega steering box
