Fantastic, straight to the point. I used to think presentation was important, it’s everything! Followed your tutorial and I’ve had more success with catching more. Joe your the guy!
Bought one of these rig mate pro after seeing you make these up before, excellent bit of kit, wish I had this years ago, able to make up all rigs exactly, brilliant Joe Many thanks, keep up the good work
Great piece of kit, but found them a bit expensive, so made my own !!!!!! not as pretty but it works for me. Great video, clear and concise with good reasons why you do things the way you do, which I think is important. Keep em coming Joe
Hi Joe, fantastic advice & has upped my catch rate almost overnight. Had a box full of "all over the place" rigs, impossible to manage & so took the plunge, retied the lot to your 5 standard pattens. hey-presto, a clearly defined & simplified rig set to choose from. One of the best videos I've watched👍
OMG your hair grows really fast Joe. The other day doing the Q&A your head was shaved. Let me know how you get it to grow so fast pal. Great Video as usual keep up the good work.
Tidy, informative video Joe..I prefer to put the float at the other end, after shotting and adding most of the line to the winder... find it less fiddly and don't have to slide the float 6ft up the line. 2 wraps on a red winder is approximately 12" (1ft) for reference..each to their own eh?
Hello Joe great video and very informative, nice to see how you make your pole rigs as most anglers have a slightly different way of doing them, for instance i always put my last dropper just above the hooklentgh. Out of interest where did you get the board your using to tie your rigs on as I've never seen them before
When catching well shallow, and you think they have gone off or deeper/shallower. Check your shots/stoz have not moved, being dragged over the lips of landing net. Always worth check them first before putting rig down and picking up different one 👍
I still like to use styles on my silver rigs with a wire stem float i think they fall nicer & wire stem makes float cock instantly & more stable. Well thats my thinking 🤔
Great video again ! love the rig mate but all my fishing is natural venues so I could do with one at 6-8ft long do you know any one who does this ? Would love to see some natural venues rigs also Cheers Gareth
Hi Joe, I am going to start pole fishing soon, so am a complete novice. When you say you are going to fish on the bottom in 8 feet of water does that mean you make up a rig with 7ft 6in of line which allows for the 4in hook length? If so I then presume you know the depth of the venue in advance. Very interesting videos. Thank you. Barry
Hi Barry. I always make my rigs up much longer than i think I will need. That way I can trim them down to suit the situation. Don't forget you need a sensible amount of line from the float to your pole tip. 30cm to 50cm is about right
@@MatchFishingFilmsHi Joe, Thanks for your quick response and help. I had forgotten the pole to float length, so thanks for the suggested lengths of that. Kind regards, Barry
What gets me is that probably the greatest commercial fisherman at the moment in jamie Hughes hardly ever uses the bulk and two dropper rig. I’m not saying never but not as much as people like des shipp
A great, informative video as always Joe. I've an off topic question please if you can help, I'm afraid I don't do social media to contact you. I have an old 16m Garbolino G-Max M1 that I bought used some years ago and it is showing its age (like me). I have never used it at 16m and it is very heavy, so I am wondering if you could suggest a 14.5m pole to replace it? Thanks in advance. Keep Safe
Nice one joe, why do you use such a big loop on the hook side? I always use the 8 because it’s the smallest. I think it gives the best presentation due to being less space between knots. Just wondering your reasoning?
You don’t put a silicone on the tip ? Just through the eye, then 3 on the stem? I always put a silicone on the tip, as it gets the line going straight up to the Dacron/connector.
lovely video ive just got into pole fishing my biggest question is the float to shot weight so (exp) if i use at 4x12 float its says on the graph its uses 5x no 10s but when use them like how its say the float bristle and some of the body is out of the water. so what i do is then add a few more shots to make just the bristle show but then what is the point in having a graph thats saying 5x no 10 shots if it dosent work and other videos am i missing something here or am i just thick.
Depends on the brand of float you are buying...more of the top suppliers i.e. Preston,Guru...etc have very consistent weight labelling on their floats due to the quality and precision of the materials they use now!
Some older pole floats the designated weight is for style leads . Work out how many grams float takes & use your desired shotting pattern trimming the float tip.

Having seen you tying the rigs, Imam now toying with getting the Rigmate myself. Good video.Cheers
Just had mine arrive today, cant wait to get going. Thanks for the videos Joe 🎣

Great Video as usual keep up the good work.
Hi Joe I'm a carp Angler had to move from feeder fishing coz of health reasons, but still love watching all your uploads ! Stay safe. Gazza
very nice video Joe, this is what is needed, maybe one for natural venues
Great video many thanks for the presentation outstanding
Great job Joe, hoping for more feeder rigs too.
Look at kerry and ringer for feeder rigs and methods. Good standards probably some of the best out there. On all venues

Superb video Joe, that video helped no end, cheers.
Excellent Joe, also just bought me a rigmate pro, how handy is that. Needed that in my life ages ago.
Another really informative video Joe, I've just made about 6 4x14 & 4x12 f1 pellet rigs and I'm now thinking about re shoting them all
Well presented Joe, very helpful 👍🎣
Hey up Joe👍 I like the measuring rig board your using👌 another good vid!

Great video joe. Really informative, this is great content. keep it up
Excellent video Joe, really useful. keep them coming!
Very helpful thank you joe for sharing that
I've got a couple of float ideas. F1 margin and f1 paste. F1 margin is shorter and more sensitive, and the same for the f1 paste.
Just use the carp shallow for f1 Edge fishing our the f1 pellet in 4x10 if u want a little bit thinner tip
Great video again ! love the rig mate but all my fishing is natural venues so I could do with one at 6-8ft long do you know any one who does this ?

hi joe you make it look so simple do you ever put a small piece of silicone on the float bristle
Nice one Joe well done thanks 🌟
Nice one Joe spot on cheers 🐳🐳👍
Hi, I have used some of the rigs tied as in the video and been in the prize money in 2 out of 3 matches.
Great to hear Eddie :)

how would you use this rig mate to tie deeper rigs? or would you spool off more line at he top once you've finished?
Great video just bought a Rig Mate cant wait to use it

Hi Joe, I'm a bit confused about the chianti rig, you started putting Nr 11,s on the hook length??? Did you mean the hook length?
Nice one joe, why do you use such a big loop on the hook side? I always use the 8 because it’s the smallest. I think it gives the best presentation due to being less space between knots. Just wondering your reasoning?
Need it big enough to get a banded hook through quickly. Too small and it becomes a faff. That’s my thoughts.
Hi joe, the tapered rig for silvers and f1s can that be used both on and off the bottom ? Cheers joe
hi joe could you use stotts instead of round shot as an alternative?
You don’t put a silicone on the tip ? Just through the eye, then 3 on the stem? I always put a silicone on the tip, as it gets the line going straight up to the Dacron/connector.
No I never have to be honest
How do you know you’ve got correct amount of weight without testing or you take this. as obvious ?

What size main line so you like to use. Roughly
I generally make my rigs up on 0.18mm
Excellent as ever Joe - now get your hair cut !
Hi Joe, which shot do you use in your tubs for the rigs, cheers
Just the Preston stuff John
Waar kan ik de rigs plate kopen
Do they make rigmate in a right hand version?
5 pieces of silicone must increase the buoyancy of the float?
Ever so slightly but nothing worth worrying about.
Where did you get the pliers from Joe?
Hi

Hi Joe. What shots do you use?

@@MatchFishingFilms SUPER SOFT SHOT, in gray dispensers?
