This is such a mesmerizingly brilliant reunion of the soul of West African rhythm, syncopation and melody with the spirit of her Black American sons and daughters as articulated through jazz. The spiritual implications of this music hold so much beauty, power, love and victory. 🙏🏾

Yeah I really like this and compares vey much to the music of the group Paz, a few years ago. Check out their song ' Kandeen Love Song' and you will see what I mean. I love it its fresh and original and different from the usual run of the mill jazz you here. I may well buy it on hearing this! Andy
Dear Brownswood, I love the music you put out but I'm not buying any more vinyls off you. The pressing of this record was terrible. It jumps, it crackles, it's really poor. And it was not cheap.
I'm sorry, but Nubya Garcia struggles to play in time, groove and her horn. Just listen, if you can't hear it, I don't know what to tell you. It's a shame that the quality of music Brownswood is currently promoting has dwindled over the years, to be replaced by what "looks" cool.
I disagree. She is not the most technical sax player but her best chops to me lie in the fat, musical, sometimes hypnotical tone, her attack band round lyrical sound.
