Hello Paul. Thank you for the lovely chat whilst you painted the machine. So much better than simply watching the paint dry. That said, full credit to Paragon. They certainly went over and beyond. It’s great that good British companies still exist. I have used Paragon before and do also recommend their paints. However I’ve struggled matching paints in the past by not knowing whether to choose gloss, semi gloss or indeed satin. As machines age they loose their gloss and it’s tempting to steer away from gloss. But in doing so, the less glossy paints I find are harder to apply by brush. 👍😀 PS The surface grinder looks resplendent in its new “original colour”. Well done 👏👏

I purchased a load of Meccano and it never arrived, DPD were the couriers, they sent it back to the sender as it rattled and they thought they had broken whatever was in the package. Didn't tell anyone until the original sender managed to track it down to a depot where the collect broken parcels, anyway I eventually got it and written in big letters was: :its supposed to rattle!"
Hi Paul, That color match looks incredible.. And what a pleasure and I'm sure you feel the same way, to come across a local company such as Paragon that values customer service. 👍👍 Cheers....
I concur about the colour from Paragon, the grinder looks miles better in its new livery than the one you used previously. Back in the day I used to inspect industrial electrical equipment at different manufacturing facilities. I had 3 light-tight boxes of postcard sized paint samples (BS & RAL) that would travel with me. I rarely had issues, but on occasion there were disasters where lots of kit had been painted the wrong colour and assembled...
Hi Paul, to follow up on the Boxford paint colour story, apparently they took more care with the colour match if it was a contract for the Department of Education (i.e. machines for schools). Cheers
