Yeah, when it was very first announced I was hoping this would be like Volca Drum but like one knob per function and individual controls for all drum voices. It was not to be...
Levels! I turned up the volume to a level that let me hear what the Falcon was saying, and as a result gave my neighbours a right blasting when the drums started up, several times louder.
It may not be a groovebox workhorse like one of the Elektron things. But that is a good thing to me. The usability of this thing as a drum machine looks super. 🙂 I can definitely see this thing inspiring lots of creativity especially because it seems so fun to experiment with and so intuitive to get right into. One pitfall I kept running into with really advanced and high control stuff was that I was spending less time making music and more time engineering which really wasn’t good for productivity. Companies like KORG or Moog are not typically my favorites though. That being said this thing definitely has some iconic detroit techno vibes out of the box and seems like fun to get right into noodling with.
TL;DR Not every piece of gear needs to reinvent the wheel to be good. This thing seems good at what it does right out of the box, even if it is not really so fancy compared to other more boutique gear. Not always a bad thing.
The more demo's I hear the more I'm glad I wasn't swayed by the hype to rush out and buy it. Doesn't sound much different to the very fun ER1 ( now available as a vst). No audio over USB was a huge miss imo. It's 2023 and I think Korg missed the goal by a mile. I adore Korg products but this lacks the initiative I'm used to from them. The 'used' market will be awash with these in a few months and the price will fall rapidly...so if you're on the fence, my advice is to wait for a bargain. I think I'll wait for version 2.
I have set YTube search filter for “this year” and typed in “Korg Drumlogue”… Your video is as first from this year BUT AFTER videos (that are 4 months old) from well known YT channels. Especially if I have set a filter, RUclips should have give me different results! Not from last year! We all should consider suing RUclips for such practices!
another classic fail, if I will buy it will be second had for 30% of actual price and used it just as basic drum sequencer using the swing presets, it is the only attraction for me
Jack of all trades good at nothing sounds meh 🫤, and still not available even though the release was forever ago. memory is ridiculous low and depending on user’s for sdk and only having one user sdk and one for fx was not enough love the look of it though. But I’ll stick with my volca sample 2 way cheaper and sounds better a updated volca drum or pro ver would have sold better .
If I didn’t already have a Syntakt I’d be all over this thing.
Korg’s Volca Drum was one of my favorite machines to use.
Must look to add this along with my Korg Monologue, great overview of the Drumlogue, thank you!
Nice walkthrough Falcon! Woot!
Hopefully they slash price in a year or so. Will pick up if it’s $200 cheaper
I love that it's so simple to use, I am not 100% convinced of the sounds though.
Thx for the upload Falcon.
I wish they would just make an expanded volca drum that still had reasonably accessible controls instead of this. alas
Definitely

I got the volca sample 2 love it

They're just implicitly marketing their compressors!
The Falcon Flies Again 👍🏼

If this drum machine came out in 2010 or so people would be losing their minds. Alas, a little late.
It's way bigger than I thought it would be.
Got this to pair with my Analog 4 instead of the rytm.
Sounds great to me, kind of like some of the MFB machines. Punchy, with character.
Noooo! leave the plastic on! lol .... grandma had plastic on the sofa
ordering right now!
Pretty much what I would expect from a Casio
New gear from Korg…noice 😃
Waiting for the badgear video
Jack should have a nick name too!

@@sarahhey8654 Good one! The English Duck! He even quacks a lot (I say that lovingly, Jack)!
Would you recommend this to your kids?
yep it is a toy
Wow🎉
Korg have never had a Classic drum machine & I'm afraid that this ain't it.
What did you think about it?
Can you please apologize to my neighbours. Dope beats. Very loud!
Nice until I checked the price... ouch!
From this video, I don't see why this machine gets so much flak in the sound department. All the patterns I heard sounded good, some were very good!
I would buy this if I found it at a thrift store for 50 bucks for sure.
Falcon Jams

Sales must be low 😂
fr! I think this came out way too late LMAO.
Ehhhhh, not impressed. But thanks for the video on what to avoid 😊

Dont like the layout, the controls nor the sound. Sorry korg but this device is going to be a shelf-warmer.
when they make next workstation it will be classic this is just a toy
This guy is lying, clearly. "Thick analog sound" This thing is weak AF. Drumlogue was a complete dud, unlike the Mini XD.
Useless but they want to sellitso they talk only in superlatives
Sounds crap.
The chances of this drum machines antilog sounds fitting in the mix is pretty much zero.
Wow TEN minutes to learn about a machine and then present as a salesman. Try harder.
It's all a bit black and dull. Buy a Roland TR-8S instead as much more fun
Can't the guy give a demo with real music?
The most mediocre machine ive ever heard. Even the swing sounds like a boomers dancemoves
