Love how you started with “ decided to make a video cause it’s really easy…. And ended up with this is stupid difficult and ridiculous” 😂😂😂 good video!
I just had to replace mine this past Sunday and unlike you, I didn't have the luxury of moving the seat back and forth. My battery was dead and I have fully electric seats so there was just enough juice (thankfully) to move the seat forward. This job was the biggest pain in the butt to accomplish and I don't know why they ever thought that putting the battery under the passenger seat was a good idea. I didn't need a second battery to remember all my settings. They were all there after replacement.
@@DamianDokis Because I didn't have a spare. But as I said in my post, there was just enough juice to move the seat forward so thank goodness for that. The worst part was dragging the old battery out and putting the new one in.
Thank you! Very helpful. Lots of bleeding and swearing but got the job done. Battery they gave me substantialy bigger though so had to replace lock down plate with bog washers instead
You hooked up the vent tube fine, but sorry to inform you that you were also supposed to break off the little plug that is part of the red plastic positive termina cover and use that to plug the vent hole on the side opposite where the tube plugs in........
Yep about to replace my battery. I been dreading it. I pop them out no problem usually like with my wifes car, but this seems a pain. I must be on fumes with my old battery cause i havent replaced it in about 6-7 years! I notice it cranks just a fraction of a second longer than it should but barely noticeable. Going to do it before it gets worse
Hi, if I connect the terminals found in the hood to a jumper battery, would that be sufficient or you actually need a battery in order to bypass radio and settings reset? Thanks so much.

I installed the same battery on a 2012 Grand Cherokee. I noticed the H8 battery like the one you installed is about an inch longer. I can't use the existing battery bracket...did that happen with you?
Just when I thought this would be an easy video, it turned out to be freaking ridiculous

Why didn't you just hook up a battery to the booster terminals so you could power the seat...Lol.

Had to jump another vehicle, this was definitely helpful. Thanks 👍
Commentary was outstanding!
I’d LOVE to know who designed this amazing system, they deserve an extra special thing sent to them🤦🤦🤦
What's the rattling plug for, just noticed the previous owner snapped it off
Settings are retained when swapping battery.. just a heads up

Thanks for posting. Not fun, but I've changed an even harder one on my Mom's 2000 Chrysler LHS.
Was it behind the tire like a Dodge Stratus? lol
@@DannyJuke inner right fender way down low in a real tight spot
Dammit I have to do this today. Thanks man.
That black plate you removed around the 2:00 mark with 13mm, when does that go back in (or does it)? Thanks in advance
At 1:14 what is that plug removed? Mine is broken off and the battery is dying so I'm wondering if it has anything to do with it.
If it overheats and the acid comes out it will drain outside instead of inside your vehicle. Also help stabilize the pressure in the battery
