it was just a weird era of rock/metal mainstream wise in the late 90s when they came out. Lots of new bands from that era .got hated on they just got the most hate.
@@VVVY777 It's not about liking different bands, Under all of Nickleback's music videos etc were excessive hateful comments, it was very extreme. i've never seen anything like it. It just become cool to hate them i guess or bots.
Most people who hate someone or something are just sheep following a trend and can't really tell you why they hate them. I'm a wrestling fan and the current tend is to hate AEW despite them having some insane talent and matches. A year ago they hated WWE and I think from memory it was the RAW brand of WWE .

I just never had a taste for them. I liked Alice in Chains and Nirvana more

To some people, Nickelback and Creed are corny as fuck. To some people religious cringe lyrics or douchebag lyrics are corny as fuck.
It's not a "hate trend" when people dislike things. Did it ever occur to you that maybe a huge silent portion of fandom doesn't like these bands and just happened to become vocal about it when someone happened to post their dislike of said bands?
I won't shit on your intelligence if you can actually like bands like Nickelback with the kind of lyrics they have, nor call you a religious sheep for liking Creed with the kind of lyrics they have. I'm way too classy and sophisticated for that kind of behavior.
Musically, sure, above average hard rock. Lyrically, it's just not the vibe for some people. It's not a hate trend or people blindly hating "cause it's cool to hate on them".

I think you’re right about a lot of them being sheep. I’ve asked a few people who hate those bands why they hate them and most didn’t have a very good answer.

i really never understood the hate for Nickleback. they had some really good songs in my opinion, granted i'm not into them and creed as much as bands like; Linkin Park, Three Days Grace with Adam, Disturbed and Skillet. but those bands also has some nostalgic songs/albums for me, but i can still recognize that Nickleback had some banger songs. Creed is also an amazing band. i listened to their album "human clay" and it was a great album, i just would'nt listen to it over a Skillet or Disturbed personally.

I guess some people forget that he has young parents. I'm sure he grew up listening to Creed and Nickelback (which is a nickel of weed, lol) with his mom, and probably listened to Tool with his dad or both his parents. His parents seem like pretty cool people 😊
Nickelback kills it man. I’m in Canada ….Alberta in fact and I heard enough of them on the radio at their heights for sure but every time I catch them live it’s just so fuckin awesome and it’s just impossible to dispute. Easily one of the top legit rock bands in a very long time. And they’ve only gotten better

Creed were so underrated, first time I heard them was on a fan made final fantasy 8 video with my sacrifice on youtube, back when copyright wasn't such a big deal and nickleback you just couldn't escape them, last album I bought from them was dark horse, this video has actually go me excited now.

Rockstar is lit. Nickelback…yes, they’re a corny pop arena rock act. Are they good? Yes. Remember their first album (1998-1999) they were darker and grittier and then I think the one light song on that album was “this is how you remind me” (their last single) then everyone’s mom liked nickelback. I could have details wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s how i remember it and then they went on to dominate top 40 for most of ots.

Nickelback are musically great. Their lyrics just leave a bit to be desired sometimes. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a fan. I am.... How You Remind Me is an amazing song, no doubt... And yes, I'd love to hear a rock record from Beiber. And to see him on your podcast.

I think both bands are great but the problem is they had too many songs that sounded alike at the time. Repeating the same formula. Other than that they were great. I don't hate either.

I think people just started this BS with Creed and Nickelback because they didn't have nothing better to do. I like both bands.
I was in a band who opened for them when that song “this is what you remind me…” was on the radio. They were jerks, and a couple weeks before we played the same venue with Slipknot and they were the coolest people ever.
That's the main difference I've consistently found between "rock stars" and metal heads.

It's also a stretch to not call him a musician. What you see from him on TV is not really him it's a product being sold by a bunch of people who are simply trying to make money off of his image, and voice. I'm SURE the dude is multi-talented and can play multiple instruments better than a majority of his haters. All I'm saying is, we shouldn't judge him by what we see on the TV and the radio, I'd assume he has been playing different musical instruments from a very, very young age.

Most KoRn fans back in the day were nerds who didn't fit in with other people so liking those bands does NOT make you cool nor does it make you uncool! A lot of people just hate rock/metal no matter the band, in my experience theirs a bit of a stigma attached to it being "devil music" or "depressing"..
It's not what their friends listen to, it's not what is trending in the mainstream (for the most part, nickelback aside) so people just jump on the band wagon. I'm not a nickelback fan personally don't get me wrong, but they don't deserve anywhere near the hate they've recieved.. sure they're very commercial but they aren't bad musicians. Makes me laugh when people who have never played a chord in their life hate on people with actual musical talent 😅
I like the Biebs, he's been good people since he grew up. Hope he and his wife are doing well, they were pretty messed up last time I saw them on social media. I also like Theory of a Nickel Creed.
