It's really helpful watching somebody go through their rationale for what-nodes-go-where. I find once my UI gets half as complex as yours, things get hacky and fall out of position fast! All the UI tutorials I have found so far only cover UI building to a basic level, so thank you for showing us how we might do something more involved!
Well worth the wait. Very cool inventory! You could totally make a whole series building this system like in your last series. Thanks for another great video.
Your videos are great and I see them pop up when Im searching for thigns often, but I always think I must have already watched them because of the red border along the bottom of the video thumbnail (and then skip past them since I think I saw them already). It just looks too much like the watched progress bar in youtube! Im not sure if its intentional or not, but I really recommend not having the red border, it has stopped me from watching your videos for months! (but, maybe Im just dumb) anyhow, keep up the great videos!
As a new person to programming and game dev, this looks like something I'll never have the capacity to do. Despite that, just seeing the structure is very cool.
Keep in mind that when you're new to anything it's a matter of baby steps and time. Once you've made progress and gained experience you'll have the capacity to do it! You don't eat an elephant whole, you do it 1 bite at a time. Programming and Game dev is no different. :) Put one foot in front of the other and enjoy the journey!

You bet. Sometimes when building a more complex UI you end up with a busy node tree, but as long as it makes logical sense it should be fine.
i was expecting just a UI guide but this is full blown showcase of working inventory and item randomization system. this is way better than i thought
Thanks, it was a ton of fun to work on!

This is some great feedback, thanks for the input. I'll have to do some testing on visuals on my thumbnails and see if that improves!
