Yeah, pneumonia can be deadly. I say that because some people confuse "walking" pneumonia with the severe types, and can look on it like a type of flue. The type George had was obviously devastated and he's definitely not exaggerating when talking about how he nearly died. In fact, he should not of even been doing this interview as it can take a year for the lungs to fully recover, if at all, - who can say that this episode didn't take such a toll that it hastened his early death later on.... but it says something about the man that while he can barely breath he still took time out to address the reporters (who haven't been exactly kind to him) and his many concerned fans. A legend and sadly missed.

Gosh, I felt so bad for George, he's struggling to get a deep breath in this interview!! I'm glad he lived from the bout of pneumonia & tried to heal from his tracheotomy. That's not easy. I remember his song, "White Light" & it was a good a good recollection of what happened in his coma. Good video too! That's terrifying to know what he went through!! Poor guy, pneumonia sucks and is very painful to breathe. He's out of breath here, needs to go home and rest. Glad he's okay now.

He was so humble and kind to the press. You could see him still weak but gave the press time. One of my fave. He was quietly helping a lot of poeple. I was sad when i heard that he died. A great lost to the music industry. He was not just great in music but also kind hearted.

I remember thinking at the time, thank god he survived that near death experience. Can’t imagine how his family are dealing with losing him, because speaking just as a fan it’s still devastating and totally unreal to think he isn’t with us anymore.😪
