I feel that all the main design development job is being done by Kalashnikov group .
Bcoz after seeing , OFB design on various indigeneious guns it still feels kind of like early 2000s rifle design .
Only JVPC is the successful project which came to production .
If SSS defence would have cooperated with Kalashnikov group then it would have been a world class masterpiece , which would reach highest production rate ever.

Frostbite doesn't happen in one second, it happens in a long period of time,around 10-15 mins will freeze the blood in your body
@@shantanumunjal8963 yeah but he was holding it for a minimal time. The skin immediately goes numb in sensation even at 30 seconds of holding. If not frost bite, chill blains are possible within 2 to 3 minutes of holding metal.

I don't get something: part of the reason they went from 7.62 to 5.45 was less recoil. But that problem has been solved with the muzzle system that levels out the barrel when fired. Yes you carry more 5.45 ammo, but is that a huge advantage with a smaller, less impact round
They went to 5.45 because the Americans did. Can't seem outdated haha... ofc now the usa makes .300 blackout which is very similar to 7.62x39. Soviet engineers were very good at their jobs.
The Russians use 5.45 predominantly over the 7.62 because it’ has better terminal ballistics than 7.62 x 39. The 7.62 x 39 is a very reliable big bullet…but there are disadvantages to the AK 74’s and AK 12’s, 5.45 x 39. The velocity is much higher on the smaller 5.45 x 39 projectile which gives it better straight line accuracy at longer distances. The 5.45 x 39 bullet also tumbles and fragments when it hits a target. Causing more wound issues. Unless you are using 7.62 x 39 soft points there is a problem with 7.62 x 39 over penetrating and being less lethal as well.
@@timkc1638 7.62x39 is easily influenced by wind due to the low muzzle velocity and drops off hard at long range.
Indians chose this rifle because they changed their approach towards enemies and terrorists as shoot to kill. That's why they swiftly replaced all their 5.56 guns using 7.62 AK variants. Mostly Bulgarian and domestic production to close the gap until AK 203 takes over standard issue. Even 144000 SIG rifles are 7.62mm.. 716i variant. Looks like they are not planning to take anymore prisoners...

If AK-203 is going to become the Std Assault Rifle of Indian Military then its best to also sign deal for production & T-o-T of RPK-203 to replace INSAS-LMG as the Std. LMG.
Whereas the TAR & Ghatak production lines can be used to manufacture TAR-Carbine like Zastava-M92 but with a 4-piece Bulgarian flash hidder, Picatinny Rails, Left-side folding Butt stock & more Modular Safety.

Are Better Rifle
It's mainly because the Russians wanted a more modernized version of the AK74 platform, one with more modularity. Both rifles are great, but the Ak203 is basically an updated version of the AKM platform. Both serve their purposes well, but the AK12 is the one that can have attachments on it easily and quickly.

So we went to a laboratory and we saw some lab results. It's an impressive facility and I'm sure they have waaaaaaayyyy more gunsmithing capability than a handful of American gun manufacturers, but they were kinda gaming the system with the "sand" test. Fine silica doesn't gum up mechanical devices like chunky mud which is what most GIs would encounter. No one runs through a fine silica dust storm with their rifle over their head while protecting the trigger mechanism, that's lab shit.
While I have ZERO doubt these are extremely well made and fine tuned rifles, I'd venture a guess to say that a well made AR or Galil or VZ58 or older AK variant would have similar results.
The AKs are gorgeous rifles and we would love to have more of them commercially available in the USA. And "that's all I have to say about that" Forrest Gump.
they must have seen this comment cuz they did a real life test of 2 AR type guns + some other guns v/s the AK ..i believe the test was specifically for icing .. they froze the rifles in the russian snow for almost 2 hours and then tried firing them.. the AK took only a rapid jolt to the rifle to start shooting again whereas almost all AR rifles needed to be heated up and had various chamber issues..

I think the ak 400 was renamed ak12 . That gun is very technical compared to other aks and is actually a spetsnaz gun ( special forces ).. and it's waay to costly..

The guns which India is purchasing is the sig suer which is a .300 calibre.. Specially made for special forces .. About the AK, we have purchased the rights for building ak-56 if I'm not wrong .. I've forgotten . And we are building a factory in UP . To produce the AK.
