Coming off the shelf for a 40+ minute video essay is Transformers Decepticons for the nintendo DS. Released in 2007, it brought ambitious gameplay elements such as free roam to the table. The game features six playable characters that all play slightly differently, and four worlds for you to freely explore and cause mayhem in. Alongside this comes one of the most captivating storylines on the DS system.

You take on the role of the game's Create-A-Bot OC character, as you arrive on earth in search of a faint Decepticon distress signal, believed to be Megatron's. Led by Starscream, you and your team scramble from Nevada to Qatar in search of the ex-leader, in hopes of reviving him and restoring honor to the Decepticon faction. You'll quickly realise that some of your comrades don't share the same motivation for bringing back the Decepticon warlord, and you'll find yourself coming face to face with not only the Autobot resistance, but your own allies. Remain loyal to the mission and learn what it means to become a true Decepticon.

If you take a left, right as the bumblebee chase starts, you can skip the boss fight and just fight barricade
Yep, this glitch works every time. Just fly straight ahead and ignore the timer, and boom you skipped straight to the Barricade fight
I used to do that glitch!

Barricade in these games is the epitome of “when you fight the enemy boss” versus “when you unlock him as a playable character”
No idea why they don’t even let you keep his bouncy grenades.
Blackout gets one-shot by Starscream, yet Barricade puts up a better way fight, taking way more damage than blackout did.
Speaking of Barricade, did anyone notice that Brawl pulled a Barricade, and went missing near the end of this game?
@@anotherrandomguy8871 From the weird and unique sound that Starscream’s blast makes when he shoots blackout I think it is implied that he blasted him with allspark powered rounds-or something. I can’t think of any other explanation why he got one shotted like that.
Yeah Brawl disappearing was weird as hell. Though it’s implied that he was killed offscreen by either Starscream or Optimus since your character asks Megatron “What about Barricade and the others? (plural-implying both blackout and brawl are dead)”

Brawl went missing because in the Autobots game he dies to Optimus

That happened to me when I used to play the game on an emulator years ago.
I didn’t know you could exploit barricade like that. I cheesed barricade so much by running back to get health, and then going back to fight. Now I just gotta beat the final mission as Megatron
When I was a kid the level I struggled on the most was "Happy Landings" in the Autobots version where you play as Bumblebee trying to destroy Earth's defenses against alien invaders.
Dude, same. Bumblebee is so trash that the mission was almost impossible for 6 year old me.
Bro I just beat this game 15 years after I lost the cartridge on my steam deck. Love this game.

bruh who the hell get struggle in that mission it's really ez. well back then when i was younger i did have some struggles when i was fighting with brawl i dont know what i need to do. until 2021 i came back and i got a pc gaming and watch a yt video how to kill him. everything seen ez now when im old.
I am struggling at the moment, for some reason I always find a way to lose Bumblebee.
I have an idea for you what do you think; What if you make a gameplay or a series of the DS transformers game, be it autobots or decepticons, but with music from the movies 1, 2 and 3 of the saga; Instead of the music of the game, you put the background music of the movies, well, the combat ones
