I saw the Zoo TV tour back in 91 and 92 a couple of times. Those shows just blew my mind. They were so ahead of its time and the imagery and music was something to behold. Very deserving of the #1 position on this list.

I went to the Zoo Tv Tour on April 23rd 1992 in Vancouver. It was the one of the most incredible concert experiences I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot. Videos do not do justice to capture the epicness of it. Then 6 years later I went to the Pop Mart Tour which was also incredibly magical.

Nah Michael was revolutionary at his time during the bad tour he was the best dancer on the planet so seeing him dance at that time was godly and even to this day still extraordinary. He was changing the art of dance and he evoked a whole other emotion out of people he had thousands of people passing out and a couple of people dying, crying it’s madness what the crowds looked like just listen to him sing “man in the mirror”. During that tour he slides, glides, robot dances, pop and locks, moonwalks, tap dances etc... while being able to sing good as hell... all that while having a a cool, unique and very iconic style. He sung masterpieces Fully live while having a different set of unique dances for every song. The majority of people consider him to be the greatest entertainer ever and it’s because he set the bar for entertainment and set the standards he was very innovative and game chaining. So to sum it up- Bad was iconic and revolutionary

I've watched the Bad tour as well (someone also uploaded the full concert DVD) and don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic show, and it absolutely revolutionized what a pop show could be, and revolutionized concert choreography. However, ZOO TV revolutionized what a concert could be entirely. Every single concert that involves any type of LED screen, or special media effect and such, can all be traced back to ZOO TV. Without ZOO TV, concerts as a whole wouldn't be what they are today. Aside from that, it also completely changed U2's image. Before they were known as a serious band that thought of themselves as more of a political movement than a musical group. So they decided to completely change their sound and make fun of themselves in the process. They took it too far with the proceeding PopMart tour in 1996-1997, but even that show was revolutionary in its own way (with a giant 100 foot wide LED screen). I understand why you'd think MJ deserves number one, but please give ZOO TV live from Sydney a watch. You won't regret it!

You gotta put into context. Prior to Zoo TV, U2's image was inspired by Americana and blues music. Zoo TV reimagined U2's sound and image and concert tours at the same time.
U2 being #1 was the most obvious thing in the world. They were, at their prime, the best band in the world, and made the most groundbreaking tour ever seen, while MJ was prancing about amidst fireworks.
zoo TV has the best opening the band ever did. it is spectacular. I had it on vhs and played it so often i wore down the tape. zoo TV was the band at their height
It may be number two but I’m just happy that _The Wall_ Tour is on here, it’s undoubtedly one of the coolest/most elaborate performances ever (because what other band incorporates a teacher, mother and a freaking brick wall into their concerts) and _The Wall_ is just one of the greatest albums ever recorded

I saw the Zoo TV tour back in 91 and 92 a couple of times. Those shows just blew my mind. They were so ahead of its time and the imagery and music was something to behold. Very deserving of the #1 position on this list.

I went to the Zoo Tv Tour on April 23rd 1992 in Vancouver. It was the one of the most incredible concert experiences I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot. Videos do not do justice to capture the epicness of it. Then 6 years later I went to the Pop Mart Tour which was also incredibly magical.

I dont understand why people say Bad is better than Zoo Tv. Sure bad is great but nothing extraodinary. Its MJ singing and doing incredible dancing. Zoo TV tour did something which was absolutely new. Bono dressed up as alter egos of himself and the whole think was amazing. Critics called it the Sgt Peppers of concert tours .

Nah Michael was revolutionary at his time during the bad tour he was the best dancer on the planet so seeing him dance at that time was godly and even to this day still extraordinary. He was changing the art of dance and he evoked a whole other emotion out of people he had thousands of people passing out and a couple of people dying, crying it’s madness what the crowds looked like just listen to him sing “man in the mirror”. During that tour he slides, glides, robot dances, pop and locks, moonwalks, tap dances etc... while being able to sing good as hell... all that while having a a cool, unique and very iconic style. He sung masterpieces Fully live while having a different set of unique dances for every song. The majority of people consider him to be the greatest entertainer ever and it’s because he set the bar for entertainment and set the standards he was very innovative and game chaining.
So to sum it up- Bad was iconic and revolutionary

I've watched the Bad tour as well (someone also uploaded the full concert DVD) and don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic show, and it absolutely revolutionized what a pop show could be, and revolutionized concert choreography. However, ZOO TV revolutionized what a concert could be entirely. Every single concert that involves any type of LED screen, or special media effect and such, can all be traced back to ZOO TV. Without ZOO TV, concerts as a whole wouldn't be what they are today. Aside from that, it also completely changed U2's image. Before they were known as a serious band that thought of themselves as more of a political movement than a musical group. So they decided to completely change their sound and make fun of themselves in the process. They took it too far with the proceeding PopMart tour in 1996-1997, but even that show was revolutionary in its own way (with a giant 100 foot wide LED screen). I understand why you'd think MJ deserves number one, but please give ZOO TV live from Sydney a watch. You won't regret it!

It may be number two but I’m just happy that _The Wall_ Tour is on here, it’s undoubtedly one of the coolest/most elaborate performances ever (because what other band incorporates a teacher, mother and a freaking brick wall into their concerts) and _The Wall_ is just one of the greatest albums ever recorded
As the list got to the end I was like “how the heck is U2 not on the list?” I was happy to see them number 1. People really don’t appreciate what a great live band U2 really is. Yes, there are a lot of other concerts that could have been number one like MJ. Still U2 is unbelievable live with one of the greatest front men of all time. I’m Irish and saw both the ‘Bad’ tour in 1988 in Cork and ‘Zoo TV’ tour in Dublin in 1993 and MJ had by far the most impact on the crowd, he was just incredible beyond words
