In this video I share 3 ways to stake your plants:
1- Plant Hoops - these are best used in spring. Place them over your plants so they can grow through the hoops. By the time your plants are grown, you won't even see the hoops!
2- Bamboo Stakes - These are great for staking smaller plants like annuals (zinnia and cosmos) and smaller perennials (coneflower). You just put a single bamboo stake behind the plant and use garden twine to wrap around the plant to keep it from falling over.
3- Deer Fencing Stakes - These are for the big guns, like a large goldenrod or ox-eye sunflower. I use two deer fencing stakes on either side of the plant and wrap the twine around the plant to give it maximum stability.

Those hoops are so good if you grow Silver Ragwort (Dusty millers) keeps them in a perfect circular clump and the plant hides the ring. Also you notice they are almost the same size circle the stone and concrete edger's make when connected 😉

Thanks Amy, I’ll need to find the rubber rope. I found some green Velcro stuff for a couple house plants not sure how it will hold up to outside. I also love the knot trick.

Hi Amy. I took a look at your video description and, while there, I noticed something you may not be aware of. Unless they've changed it, Amazon (and I believe YT, too) has/have specific language you have to put when you're an affiliate. Please feel free to take that or leave it, but it would be no fun to have some kind of repercussions for not having the required language. Hope that helps!

Thanks. I always have it by default. Must have deleted it by accident.

Do you get a lot of rain? My coneflowers don't need staking. We get almost no rain.
