Building a Custom Truck Camper for my F-150

- Finally finished my second build, guys! I already know this camper will be a lifesaver... Between having electrical now and a lot less fuel consumption, I'm in a much better spot! So thankful it all worked out.

i would recommend a Dutch style door just for safety reasons... because if someone pushed your tailgate up while you were sleeping, you would need to shimmy your way out from the windows, given how tiny they are, it would not be fun
Good point. At least a small hatch in the door itself. That way, you yourself could, in theory, pull up the draw bridge. If the tailgate has a lock on ot then even more safety.
Just a suggestion. When running your wiring. You should put service loops at both ends and zip tie them neatly. So you’ll always have slack for unexpected issues. Especially since you didn’t get your green light immediately. Lol. In the inside battery compartment. You can make a circle on all your wiring then secure it to the wood walls withe cable tacks and zip ties. It’ll look neat and you’ll always have slack for you and the next owner. 👍🏾✌🏾
I enjoyed every second of this build, I'm 54 years old and I never attempted a build like this let alone film it and post it, you were taught the correct way, raised the correct way, your parents should be proud as shit to have raised you, you are an intelligent, talented young man, stay on the steaight and narrow and you will be successful in aspect of life, awesome job my man.
Shoutout to your dad he taught you an skill. Which a lot of young men these days don’t know. And nice job on camper.

I saw the appreciation and admiration you have for your Pops! And most of all I saw the LOVE, your Pops and you share. We have to get our dad's back in the homes with their boys and find ourselves as family should be.

Just one note: PLEASE wear PPE when you are using spray paints and eye protection and a respirator when working with resins… it doesn’t take much exposure to cause lung damage!

Congrats on a job well done. It's not every guy your age has the ability to complete a project as difficult as this. Your dad has taught you well, but credit to you for paying attention to him and putting what he gave you to good use. I'm sure your mom has some good influence on you as well. When you said “thanks Dad for teaching me how to do construction” ❤ that was nice to hear. As someone who grew up with a Dad who didn’t even want to spend time with his kids, I really feel happy when I know someone else had a present Dad. My Mom remarried a few years ago and although I’m grown I get a lesson or two on how to do things from a proper Dad. I appreciate those moments. He’s a plumber btw so some lessons are not always easy for me 😂 Edit: he raised my two brothers since he and my Mom started dating years back. I’m glad those boys have him.
