To say that political assassinations don't change the future is wrong. Think about the assassination of Lincoln, if he wasn't assassinated maybe we might of not went through all the race crap we went through. If JFK wasn't assassinated how much longer would of Vietnam lasted, instead of ending in 75 it could of gone into the 80's?
Now I'm not say it's a good thing, but assassinations do change the future in ways that we will never know.
As far as political violence goes, well we fought our War of Independence, civil war, 2 world wars, Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia 4 times, Kosovo, Iraq twice, Afghanistan like 3 times. Political violence comes in all shapes & forms, unfortunately it's the way of the world, but that doesn't mean we don't strive to achieve peaceful ways to solve our differences.
