The writer of this episode, Toni Graphia, is in my opinion, the GOAT of the Outlander Writers Room. So many great writers on OL, but Toni is responsible for so many of my favorite eps over the years: Faith, La Dame Blanche, Dragonfly In Amber, Never My Love, The Devil's Mark, Rent, Of Lost Things, Happiest Place on Earth and many more, some co-written with Matt Roberts. She keeps hitting it out of the park. Looking forward to more eps from Toni through S7B and S8!
To me greatest writer was Anne Kenney and director Anna Foerster in season 1, which did not last since they antagonized with Graphia, Roberts and Maril. At one of the SDCC events 2015 she was in the audience and RDM applauded her. Too bad the other seasons never captured the essence of Outlander afterwards pushed the agenda of metoo, feminism and women first which was not what we expected from the main character Jamie Fraser the Highlander. Yes, it was Claire pov however his essence lost in the other seasons, we see that today. Sam portrayed Jamie very well but his essence got lost in the following seasons, we see it especially season 4. It could have been much much better no fault of Sam, but the writers and producers namely those mentioned above, their ego got so big. Now coming up with another franchise BOMB figuring the parents of both Jamie and Claire 🙄😒😤 who cares, let's finish Outlander first and DG is another number.
Charles plays the truth of a person who learns he truly is after a lifetime of secrets, lies, and betrayal. He was true to the emotions of what someone told you, how you viscerally react, and the after effects of confusion, being considered someone else when you're living in the same skin. You become flipped out on a live wire. I speak from experience in my life. I relate to William and his plight. I wish my parents were the Frasers. I cried a lot.
Charles was FANTASTIC in this episode!! Love all of his scenes so much!!!
This interview actually helped me understand William as a character better
So loved Charles and William in this episode. Finally with Jamie!!

This should have been a 90 minute episode. Soooo much going on, and some of it got short changed
This had to be Charles best performance yet. Loved every scene of 712.
Yes I agree with the comment that I understand William more after this episode he was like a Tornado and Mr. Charles performance was super brilliant.

I cried a lot.
He was so full of rage.
It certainly lived up to the episode title.
Every time I hear the name Arabella I keep thinking about the goat in season 3 (Uncharted).
J'en peut plus de Lord John et William ça me saoule, 😴😴😴😴
