Aleksandria - drugie co do wielkości miasto w Egipcie. W starożytności i w średniowieczu ośrodek życia kulturalnego i wielki port Morza Śródziemnego. Za rządów Ptolemeuszów była stolicą Egiptu.
Biblioteka Aleksandryjska - W październiku 2002 roku miała miejsce inauguracja współczesnej biblioteki w Aleksandrii i udostępnienie jej do użytku publicznego.
