Willow Tree | Re-painting an early painting

I actually enjoy the fullness of the original willow a wee more than the updated version. We have a small neighborhood graveyard in Nashville that has a willow so old and thick that the branches drag the ground and it’s totally concealed internally… can’t see through it a bit. That’s how I see a Willow when I think of them. As an ancient old gentleman. This one you did here looks like a young whippersnapper who hasn’t filled out yet. Both paintings are excellent.. I just think I enjoy the age that shows through on the original trees. 🥰 Thanks for sharing your art with us.

I found a video of his in which he painted a weeping willow and went out, bought a canvas and paints and painted me a willow. And it came out beautiful. Being in awe of the beauty of willows now, I want to paint more and more of them! Thanks for the inspiration Kevin! Love your art!
