This is the first Thai series, as far as I could remember, that has a bar/club scene that isn't cringey or awkward at all...everything is natural and on point.

The fact that even drunk, he's aware that he does not want to be touched by anyone (6:20) else other than Lian speaks volumes. Even if he confuses the real Lian for a top-grade replica, he still repeatedly tells the other that he's reserved only for Lian.
10:03 was priceless. when his drunk self was panicking to find out if this person in front is actually Lian he takes in his scent. that is quite clever as our olfactoric memory is very good compared to other senses. but for Asians who tend to be shy in public when it comes to signs of intimacy this move was hilarious

I like that Lian let him have his space. Lian did not interfere until he saw the other guy trying to feel up Kuea and realized that Kuea was way too drunk to give consent or defend himself against unwanted approach. Lian did not barge in to make an issue for him getting drunk and let the boy drink away his sorrows in peace until he too wasted to recognize the people around him, and then he stepped in to take him home. The kiss scene, though one party was drunk did not make me feel uncomfortable like many other series. This was an emotionally well build and sweet kiss. It was comfort and reassurance that Lian wanted to convey, but didnot know how to say out loud and would not be of any use to a drunk Kuea. This kiss really did not have me questioning romanticization of non-consent because Lian was not trying to take advantage in anyway....It was just...they were both hurt, Kuea was crying and needed comfort, Lian loved him but did not know how else to express it, and the kiss was perfect for that scene. The only thing is that poor Kuea was always looking forward to kiss first kiss with Lian and now he won't even remember it.
Well kuea was talking to him like he reconized he was lian. And kuea was talking about how he wanted lian to love him and kiss him. He probably over looked that kuea was still drunk. Usually I get angry at drunk kisses especially if one's drunk and one sober but because it was so emotional and you can tell they care about each other on some level (despite what lian said to kuea about not loving him). It was really sweet
@@cassie3853 Ikr....It was super sweet and only after I watched it twice did I even think about one being super drunk. Ugh....the kiss was all the more confirmation we needed that Lian did have feelings for Kuea. I can't wait three more days for the next episode...its killing me.

The KISS after Kuea was finally telling Hia what he honestly feels inside about what he really thinks about their arranged marriage situation and how much he loves him, it was absolutely beautiful. That scene was played out so well. I didn't think the backseat of a car could bring that very romantic atmosphere.

We're only on episode 2 yet Nunew's acting just consistently gets better and better and suprises me as this is his first main role, while the soundtracks/music are also very soothing and makes the whole episode more emotional accompanied with Zee and Nunew's acting. Kudos to P'Aof & to the staff and actors for pulling off this great series! I can't already wait what's going to happen on the next episode

Literally had the HIGHEST expectations for this show and it already went above and beyond. The plot, the acting, the cinematography, the coloring/grading, the mention of LGBT+ issues, the directing? so brilliant, i can tell this is a fav already. And ofcoz zeenunew chemistry is really amazing.

I agree. Nunew’s talent conveys the pain his character must feel so well that it tugs my heart. And, I’m not an easily emotional person! I was also touched by Nat’s performance. I believe he has great natural talent, as well. The pain he felt when being scolded also transferred to me. I hope they continue to get the support needed to entertain us for many years to come. The team in this series work great together. This is one of the most natural flowing series I have experienced thus far. Looking forward to next episode?…greetings to all!

I will never get tired of saying how talented NuNew is. The way he expresses all of Kuea's pain & want for love whilst portraying him as heavily intoxicated is astounding. Also the kiss was very sweet, like a gentle apology. I'm sad that Kuea won't remember those events due to being drunk, as they were a huge development in his & Hia Lian's relationship, but hopefully some of it will come back to him in the 3rd or 4th episode. He finally told Hia Lian how he feels & Hia Lian responded by kissing him. They still need to communicate more & really express their feelings, especially when they are both sober.
I didnt notice this the first time I watched but Hia Yi is actually trying to hold back his tears.

I'm so in love with the silent plot that Hia Lian has always known the Kuea lives a double life as Kirin & that he has a set table in the club that he watches Kuea perform as Kirin. Also that Jay is in on the whole thing with Hia Lian, I just love it. Hia Lian wants Kuea to reveal his true self to him on his own time but also does not want to miss experiencing his lifestyle as Kirin.

I was really surprised by MaxNat's acting in this series. It's completely different from the roles they've played in the past. This is an extremely difficult role that requires it to clearly reveal the character's personality and inner feelings. But they did a great job. As for ZeeNew, this is probably the kiss scene that I find the sweetest. I have never seen a series that can be perfect from the cast to the costumes, the sound, the lighting as well as the filming locations are invested with the content of the novel like this. It will be the explosive series of this 2022. Can't wait for the next episode 🥺🤟

I'm watching this for probably the 10th time and i'm only now realizing that Lian (who was clearly watching the scene) only came between Kuea and that other guy when Kuea showed discomfort about the situation. Lian is a walking green flag 🥺
That scene, where Kuea is asking so desperately to Hia to love him, was so heartbreaking and intense, like you can really tell how hurt he is.
Btw, I really feel that the 5SOS' song "Why won't you love me", fits this scene perfectly (it's sooo good, you should listen to it).

When kuea is drunk together with Lian in a car while asking and confessing his love to Lian plus the kissing scene afterwards was the best feeling ever as an audience. It suddens me to feel for Kuea but being himself and being vulnerable in front of Lian at the moment was an emotional sincere love confession.

I didnt regret waiting for ep 2. Its beyond my expectation. The acting. The bgm. Diao trembling lips when he cried. The guilt face of Yi when he realized he just hurt the pure soul Diao. Kuea being drunk doesnt look force at all and the pain in Kuea voice while begging Lian. Lian in tee and jean. THE KISS!!!!!!! Seems that next week gonna be more progress between Lian and Kuea. Finger cross. I cant get over their chemistry.
