I don't think I've literally ever commented on a RUclips video before, but just wanted to say thank you! Your video made this process super easy on my 75 CB750F. Sense of humor and approach was spot on. Thanks!

The second cable also needs adjustment... it is to CLOSE the carbs... if your carbs ever stick, this matters. I just received a weird set that seems to not fit my bike, even though it is sold for a cb750k3. I sure wished you'd included that second half of the adjustment, for this, just for the sanity check, if nothing else, as to whether I'm overlooking something obvious (i.e. maybe my assessment of the cable's fitness is wrong b/c I'm thinking about it the wrong way)... Anyhow. I will keep looking.

Thanks for the video. I’ll get onto it tomorrow.
I have just been gifted a 42 year old Honda cb400 and the throttle is very sloppy. I had looked at the adjuster at the carbs but they’re much more tricky to get at so if I can do the adjustments up top that’s great!
    Thanks again. Ally.

    Very informative vid. Thanks.
I'm somewhat new to bikes. I have an 81 cb 750custom and trying to get it back in shape. I'm a DIY guy so RUclips is great. Again thanks for the vids.

Hey Jesusmuzik, I was just wondering are there any other similar videos that would be helpful to you?

Mike Barker perhaps going over the wiring system, funding shorts. (It's likely hard without an actual short)

Can you make a video of installing the cables to the carbs? I got new push and pull cables, but they seem to be long. I can’t figure out how to get the length adjusted so the throttle works.

I need help... I have a k8 and have bought a hand full of cables for my bike. Either the black outer sleeve was too long or the inner metal cable is too short or both... The biggest issue is the lower cable. The screw can't fit into the hook mount.
Also I tried hacking the outer sleeve down to size so the metal cable could reach the carb and the throttle grip sleeve but it failed because of the end caps things that couple ti the adjustment screws... I'm so frustrated and stressed over this.

Hey Dewdrop, hit me up with an email with some photos of what you're dealing with. My email is in the about section on my main RUclips profile.

@@Mike_Barker hey I've been overthinking this whole thing, just realized it might be easiest to solder more length into the metal cables. If that fails then I'll shoot you an email. Thanks👌

Yeah, solder joints on stuff that moves isn't the best idea. The problem with solder on cables is that it's going to crack over time and that's going to fail. Solder at the end of the cable (where the cable and the lug are) works because the lug doesn't really move and the cable is inside the lug.
