The show wasn't canceled, CBS offered Craig a lot of money to stay, & they offered him a lot of money to host the Late Show after David Letterman left. Craig said he wasn't interested, and left on his own terms.
Arachnid Soul That's not entirely true... according to his contract he should've taken over the late show and when he was passed he decided to quit. He probably got a lot of money since CBS broke that clausule in his contract...and I suspect that on of the conditions was that he couldn't do a late night show for a couple of years. At least, that's what I get from several interviews in the past two years...
Φαr from it. Did you notice how the show was getting extremely repetitive the last years? Did you realize that the guests, although stars, were not the greatest ones, with few exceptions, unlike Conan's show guests, or Fallon's or Kimmel's?
Yeah. In a lot of their interviews, Craig has even been able to make him laugh unexpectedly, which I'd imagine is not an easy feat to do at Don's age. I don't think a lot of other talk-show hosts have been able to do that
I've seen all of the amazing comedians on here with him and there's never been one he couldn't keep up with, including Robin Williams and that is a feat all on its own
+Dennis Mackey Many comics do insult comedy, but few rely on it for his whole act. Rickels had his time, but it is old and tired now. THe same thing evey time for decades is shit.
For those who are curious: @12:17 He says "The pellet with the poison’s in the flagon with the dragon!" Which is a reference to "The Court Jester" (quotegeek.com/quotes-from-movies/the-court-jester/1594/)
Craig already interviewed Geoff as a guest in 2011 (/watch?v=fJD7sCnUtbY), but not yet Josh himself. Right now Josh is shooting a indie comedy movie (Nowhere Girl) in which he plays the lead, so I think Craig will probably invite him as a normal guest when this movie comes out to help him promote it.
I sincerely hope someday Craig would invite Geoff's voice actor (Josh Robert Thompson) to fill the show as a guest. I mean come on, he interviewed Grant Imahara, the builder of Geoff's body. Yeah without Grant there wouldn't be a moving skeleton, but without Josh, there wouldn't be a Geoff Peterson, the personality. * or have Craig interviewed Josh as a guest already? If that's the case, can anybody show me the link please?
Imagine being *any* kind of guest having to come on after Rickles? Radha did fine, how could she not she’s very cool but the audience must be soo overstimulated by that point
quite possibly the greatest late night talk show guy in recent history.
No, he was
: (
cause a major rule in tv is the best shows get cancelled

This is amazing, I've never seen anyone keep up with Rickles before.
And that is the genius of Ferguson! And you have to be to keep up with Rickles!
Yeah. In a lot of their interviews, Craig has even been able to make him laugh unexpectedly, which I'd imagine is not an easy feat to do at Don's age. I don't think a lot of other talk-show hosts have been able to do that
three in total

“You were in Scotland inside your Mother!” Cut to great reaction shot from Craig.
wow somebody who actually upstaged Craig!
Craig is the only late night host that can match Rickles wit...
"I said Hitler, and his glasses fogged up"🤣
Man I miss Rickles.
how can you not LOVE don rickles!!!!!
+faensostress your opinion means shit if you are holding SNL cast members up as examples.
+darklord220 AMEN BRO!!!!

+faensostress You don't like Don Rickles, therefore, nobody should. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAH, what's with this guy, huh?
Jesus, calm down. It's just words on a screen, I don't even know you. Don't get all worked up over it...
Don Rickles....what thermonuclear awesome looks like when you're pretty damned old. Legend.
Don Rickles is perfect, when he passes away, I´m gonna miss his generation of comedians, one is already gone, R.I.P. R.W.
One thing special about Rickles was that he wasn’t apart of his generation of comedians, he was pretty much different from everyone else.
Court Jester reference! I love it....
I'm so happy that Josh thompson, the voice of Geoff peterson, got to take his amazing voice work to the Kelly Clarkson show
31:54 Craig probably owed Rickles a huge thank you
Great long term, binge watching, drinking game. Shot or bong hit every time Craig makes English Lit reference.
Sweet....looking forward to the interview....
And thanx for the reply...
Rickles, there is only one of those. I just love that guy.
lol I think this is the first time ive ever seen craig so flustered by a guest
How cute, Radha turned bright red... I bet she felt it rushing to her head lol.
Rickles -- respect to you.
That music that Craig, Tuyen, and Liza are dancing to sounds almost like a Raised Fist song. Impressive. Also, Radha Mitchell's accent is perplexing.
14:12 I love that noise Craig does at the Joke for Senior Citizens, it’s too damn funny
don rickles is lol lmfao lmao rofl funny and more, love his humor and how kind he is
The Vessle with the pessle is the brew that is true....Court Jester....Love it I saw that movie with Danny Kaye as a kid

omg that was one of the funniest interviews I've ever seen.
pause at 29:55. Amazing screen shot
TLLS Starring Don Rickles

what is the name of the song Craig and radha are dancing on?
brilliant
It's the casino manager of Ace Rothstein!
35:18 a moment where he mentioned a possible (and later real) ending of the show.
Good theme song.
Sadly there will be no new episodes until April 8th.
Rickles is brilliant as usual, and Radha... could she possibly be more into Craig?
could you blame her?
I sincerely hope someday Craig would invite Geoff's voice actor (Josh Robert Thompson) to fill the show as a guest. I mean come on, he interviewed Grant Imahara, the builder of Geoff's body. You're welcome ;)
The funny thing about "Des Plaines" is locally it is just pronounced Dez Plainez.
Rickles and hot women are the only ones who can make Craig squirm! lol
funny, both times Radha was on they talked about flying....do you think he wants to get her up there?
I bet her does... and in the sky, too!
Barksdale AFB is in Bossier City, trivia fans.
*****
I worked there for a couple of years and never enjoyed a people more. Some of the craziest and nicest people I have ever met.
37:50 that lip bite
Imagine being *any* kind of guest having to come on after Rickles? Radha did fine, how could she not she’s very cool but the audience must be soo overstimulated by that point

she had a baby, is the reason i heard...
I'll never understand how she cannot be related to the hemingways. She is identical to the girls
australian accent is dissapearing it isnt thick anymore
It was going in and out like she didn't know what accent to use.
Should have been cockquistador!
What wit? That dinosaur hasn't been funny in decades.
Rickles is just nauseating.
