There are many highly skilled guitarists in Japan, so I'm not surprised by that. I think Miyako is different and special among them. Perhaps calling her a musician is the most accurate expression. I feel her sense and technique in the detailed and rich expressions she creates. I think she is the coolest guitarist in Japan.and,LOVEBITES has anther super guitarist in it,after all.👍
There are so many fabulous guitarists in Japan including Midori. On the surface this might sound disrespectful, but please stay with me. The field on any particular instrument in Japan is simply too large and overwhelming. I personally need to look beyond the single instrument, to multi talents, or personalities to separate the musicians. This applies to all of my favorite instrumentalists. I mean how does one separate perfection? IMO, Miyako’s talent on the guitar is only surpassed by her talent on the piano. Add to this consideration her skill as a composer and drive for perfection. Finally, I can’t overlook her personality. I’ve met numerous great spiritual leaders of all the major faiths. If there is any one Japanese musician that rivals them for charisma, or Zen like appeal, it would be Miyako. I don’t mean to minimize anyone’s talent, but yes I’m a massive fan of Miyako and one other.
