I love his redemption arc so much He starts as the character your probably meant to hate the most besides homelander because we see how he killed Robin right in front of us and Hughie and the damage it caused and how little they cared. Over time he turns into a more sympathetic, caring character and actively helping the boys.
The writing and acting in the scene where A-Train finally feels what it means to be a true hero and a force for good, after seeing a kid see him as one, couldn’t have been done better

I love the redemption arc he has going on. I'm not comic reader but I hope he either has a great heroic moment standing up to Homelander or defects entirely and still has a heroic death. I don't see the show having A-Train making it out alive.
Reading the comic won't change a thing really, due to how different A-Train is to his comic counterpart. He wasn't redeemable. Unlike in the show where Hughie buries the hatchet with A-train, comic Hughie buried A-train instead.
I know it's pretty obvious he'll die at this point, but I'm kinda hoping he doesn't. It'd be nice to have a superhero in this universe that's actually heroic besides Starlight.

So far the major events (Homelander having a copy (Ryan) the plane debacle and The Boys giving themselves powers have been added in its own way.
So, if we're both right. Season 5 is just going to be one big comic book battle.
And hopefully it's glorious.
Superhero Civil War is coming.
@goroakechi6126 honestly? Seeing what's happened to the deep throughout his life (seeing and hearing the torment of basically all the aquatic life mankind has touched) I'd say he's gotta be one of the most traumatized characters in the show (say what you will about the attempted SA, but Hurt people Hurt)
And he clearly prefers the company of aquatic life compared to humans as well, I wouldn't be surprised if the end of his character arc is him just..leaving and spending his time in the ocean instead of on land.
@@mogbo8111 attempted SA? he straight up sexually assaulted Starlight the first chance he got
That kid face lights up to know his uncle is a hero, it’s heartwarming.
I think that’s just a random kid lol
Lmfao you racist bastard
@@Kriscosmic And that's just as good, honestly. A kid inspired, that's heroism.
This is so racist, you better give a 100 million to black lives matter😂.
Then again, they always be thinking someone owes them something low key felt it when teknight reacted to them doing that
@@afriendlycoffee-stainedtop9995you are the people this show is satirizing
I love his redemption arc so much
He starts as the character your probably meant to hate the most besides homelander because we see how he killed Robin right in front of us and Hughie and the damage it caused and how little they cared. Over time he turns into a more sympathetic, caring character and actively helping the boys.
This is one of the best scenes in the entire show.
His redemption arc started with Blue Hawk. Almost died in the process and now he's on his way back.
He has a second chance, and he’s not wasting it.
The writing and acting in the scene where A-Train finally feels what it means to be a true hero and a force for good, after seeing a kid see him as one, couldn’t have been done better
A-train being acknowledged by the little fan boy and them smiling at eachover was so wholesome and sweet finally doing some good being a real hero, He will live they gave queen maeve and noir a second chance he's getting so much positive attention it would be a disappointment to kill him.🙏🏾👏🏾
For the first time in the show, this scene really shows a true moment of a superhero
Ngl I cried a bit at the part with the boy, idk why. I think it’s cause a train was able to finally be a real hero to a kid without having to lie about it. You can tell it’s something he always wanted to do but couldn’t because of his spot on the seven
I like to think by season 5, Homelander will be the only evil supe. Everyone else might have a change of heart and actually do heroic things. I think even The Deep could be “redeemed”.
@@stormtraitor6545"violence is power" sounds genuine, I think he's the opposite of A-Train. Both started bad, made as joke, one is going through redemption and one is probably going more evil than before.
Honestly killing him off so soon would just perpetuate that the idea that the world can’t be fixed, having him survive as a hero, at least until Homelander is seriously injured, would prove that there’s a glimmer of genuine hope in this fucked up universe
This scene is so freaking lovely, i'll never forget this.
the scene with the boy and A-Train might be my favorite in the whole series so far
It's a genuine Hero moment. Those hope filled eyes from that kid will do it .
Crazy that they can weave together so many character arcs that bang this hard. Hopefully Frenchie stays in jail Im sick of his ass
I hate to say it, but yeah, Frenchie has been reduced to nothing at this stage. Kind of like Finn in Rise of Skywalker.
@@stormtraitor6545 Now that everyone can make drugs
agreed lol
"You either die a villain or you live long enough to see yourself become the hero."
First time someone was ACTUALLY a hero in the boys
Annie is a hero too
maeve too
@@MuLt0she not😂
@@Jancker8 Flickering lights to "intimidate" people don't do shit, plus It takes a whole month to charge up and shoot and anyone can just close their eyes
@@TheeUnkillableCatShe saved a person from being violated and saving Hughie and the rest of the boys in season 1. Unfortunately, on screen she mostly focuses on how to take down Voight.
Probably one of the most satisfying and heartwarming scenes in this series
0:17 The way he says "Y'all were supposed to be undercover" here sounds like he's straight up scolding them it's cute😭
Batman: One Night Always Makes The Difference
A-Train: I now know what you mean
A-Train has quickly gone from one of my most hated characters of all time to one of my favorite. What a character development arc he has gone through and the actor is superb.
Shit made a gangsta tear up, not gonna lie. Lmao
Bro I know. I got a bad feeling it’s not going to end well and I’m not ready for it
1:35 Take note Homelander cult...this is what it looks and feels like to be a real hero.
That smile worthed more than all the millions and sponsors A train had in his whole life
That part with the kid and A-Train was arguably the most wholesome scene in the entire show
A-Train might be redeemed but i think he'll die
A-Train finally got to be a hero and he loves it, but at the cost of his safety and probably his life. This is the price you pay to be a real hero.
“Y’know when I carried your ass to the ER, there was a kid there. His eyes were like “Holy shit!”. Looking at me, like I was a hero. None of this screaming fans, no cameras, nobody even knew. Except for this one kid. That felt better than *anything* that I had done at Vought, because for once I didn’t hate myself”
That kid was incredibly important to bringing A-Train's redemption full circle 👌
I like that in this adaptation they actually made A-Train a normal character and not a impeccable douche that gets somehow kidnapped by Butcher and killed in the next panel.
The first dude to start off the entire show is the first one to actually be a superhero? I dig it
I love how kimiko can find the exact book titles she needs to communicate. It's not like Sage had a pen and book before they entered the room
This was hands down the best episode of the boys thus far, plus the whole “kimiko communicating through book covers” is genius and well shot
A-Train literally carrying this season on his shoulders.
This is probably A train’a first time saving someone and have it being acknowledged, no acting or cameras
A-Train is just getting better and better in each episode, his king era. 🙌🙏👏🎉
I’m very glad that for once he got to know what it’s like to be a hero to someone. That’s something even in the recent Marvel movies fail to have.
Aw that kids reaction was so well done a small scene that carried so much well done to both actors!
That slowly spreading smile from disbelief to sheer joy was beautiful :')
Looks like a train gets to live to see another season. Neuman won’t tho
something about 1:20-1:40 that just hits you right in the feels
A-Train acting like a true 'Redeeming character that dies at the end' 😂
Please, let this man survive. I’d love to see him get to be a hero for more than like 3 episodes
when the boys has been roasting superhero culture for so long that I've genuinely forgotten how a superhero scene done well can be so wholesome and impactful until this scene
like in a world where cynicism seems to be the rightful dominant attitude i'm grateful that the boys writers show that people can still do genuine good in a corrupted world
Hands down one of my all time favorite scenes from this season, just those two giving each other that smile goes such a long way! The writers knew exactly what they were doing!
They really giving A-Train an "Enjoy while he's still here" amount of screentime...brother is def taking a sabbatical soon
I loved this. Probably the first time someone has looked at him as a hero and not just as a celebrity and you can tell it felt good for A train
One of the most beautiful scenes in the whole show :(
Saved the last 3 episodes to watch for tonight and I really enjoyed this… perfect moment for a-train
A-Train finally understanding the feeling to being a hero. A REAL HERO.
he is the first seven member with actual redemption arc. Maeve was already decent since S1, especially Starlight too.
This was genuinely sweet to see, at least A Train will die a real hero
His smile at the end was the best part of the whole episode
I really hope he doesn't die, man. He's on his way to becoming a real hero, and the show needs more of those.
he finally got that second real save
I love how everyone just knows A-train is COOKED
I’m so happy to see how far A-train’s come since the start of the show, you’d kinda assume that he was supposed to be some sort of big bad considering his connection with Hughie, but really all of that’s in the past now and it’s really given A-train the opportunity to really make up for what he’s done and become a true superhero. Just that small scene of that kid looking over at A-train and him smiling like that is some of the most wholesome subtle character writing that this show has had so far and I’m so happy to see where it’ll go from here.
That boy’s smile, the purest thing I’ve seen in a long time.
this is the best scene in the show for many different reasons
