My name is Ken Lincoln and I'm glad to follow along. I have ALS and can't go anywhere anymore. It's just so nice to watch you do what my wife and I were going to do after we retired. The way you expose history is wonderful. Keep up the good work.
Ken Lincoln hi Ken, I'm Jewelie....I didn't see your post, but I just posted to Justin a very similar post....I'm sorry for your illness, I have kidney failure and been on dialysis 13 yrs...and like you I travel vicariously through this young man's travels, something I thought I would be doing one day....life had different plans for me!
I am familiar with ALS through the ice challenge that I do participate in every year....however, I have never actually made the aquaintence of anyone with it....I'm very sorry!
just wanted to say hi...take care!
I will pray for you. Thank you for the kind words. We stand strong against being infirm as we travel vicariously with The Justin! Lol!!!
Ken & Jewelie, I’m in similar circumstances. Health robbing me of the life I once lived, with being able to go on road trips one of the things I miss the most. Thankfully for us and many more Justin is there, bringing adventure and positivity so that we can enjoy life a bit more and carry us through our challenges and disappointments.
You say you're a, amateur comedian at best? I think you're a top drawer comic, host, teacher, historian, musician, etc. etc. etc. and all around awesome guy! What a lovely speech at the end Mr. Scarred =) And thanks for getting me out of the house and taking me someplace fun and interesting again =)
You're the best Justin, a young, articulate voice of reason in a weeeired world.
I am the Gregg Arnold that created GH and Thanks for this! How fun! I LOVE this! Thanks so much for taking the time with Giganticus Headicus! Subscribed!
Lol! Loved "squeaky sign"! It's sore to make the top 40!
Hey, Justin:
You are correct: If your relatives came to California via the original Route 66 -- you are forever and inextricably connected to the spirit of the Mother Road.
And, now that you have answered "the calling" to truly explore, understand and feel the hidden treasures of America's Main Street, you too will someday pass this kindred connection to your children as well.
With kind regards,
T.
Phoenix, Arizona USA
NOTE:
I first traveled Route 66 in 1953, in a used 1950 Studebaker -- while sitting in the laps of my parents, as they relocated from Washington, DC to Los Angeles, California.
We were very poor and couldn't afford the $7.00 per night for a motel room. So, we slept in the car each night and took sponge baths each morning in Phillips-66 gas stations on that beautiful 8-day, 2,600 journey to the Golden State of opportunity.
I went to MR D'z like a month ago! The root beer was great!
You had me at "the lovers, the dreamers, and me". Dreaming of being on Rt. 66 again.
I have spinal conditions and I go to Shriners in fact I went there yesterday and got my back rods lengthened. Shriners is so amazing and the donations really help I've seen people come from Maine to the SLC Shriners because that one specializes in scoliosis which I have. Some people even donate new toys and they give them out to the patients. Every time I go they give me something!!!! They are all so caring.
so glad you appreciate places like oatman kingman and hackberry we ape proud of our part of route 66 and you are welcome anytime
AWESOME JOB, Justin!
It's great watching this series of Route 66 videos. Justin is at his best on the road geeking out over the history that still survives along a once thriving byway.
I'm digging this journey you are taking us on!
love the story about Sam. What he says is true. awesome! Have always wanted to drive route 66 so I love your videos about them. plus, the info you remember really is so impressive.
The Grapes of Wrath is a Classic. It's a great great book to read and very Honest of America.
I can't get enough of this excursion on your blog. It would make a great educational video for kids in school to instill a love of geography and US history. BTW, your philosophical aside was spot on and touching.
Justin, your Route 66 videos are fantastic! We just returned from a road trip along part of Route 66 and are really enjoying reliving the memories through your insightful, humorous and colorful videos. You are amazing! 😊
I think one of those cars fit u perfectly. Very true that u never know what tomorrow will bring. We had some tragic news this week that changed our lives forever. but we r going to continue on the quest for our positivity. Thanks!
How can there be people who actually dislike this post? It's wonderful!
Thank you Justin! For all the adventures you take me on, for helping me find my own quest for positivity as well as your enthusiasm and excitement.
Awesome. I love Oatman after watching your videos. It's on my bucket list.
Yayyyyyy! Root Beer! Cheers!
As I prepare for my next pilgrimage to sunny Southern California after a long season of water wars I view your videos. I have seen a good chunk of your video material you inspire many including myself. Happy Travels, with full pockets, and a light breeze at your back.

Awesome video! I'm loving this Route 66 trip! All while I work out-of-town and hang out in a hotel... Vicarious fun!
But just to point out, that crazy high-pitched tone is still present in this video...
Your videos are awesome, learning a lot and just a little envious ;) Safe travels and looking forward to more!
Wow all those old interesting places, My sister and I went where the burrows are they are so cool.

lol I loved how you began and ended the video with a Christmas song! Hehe great video! I love this whole trip and all your videos! on to the next video on route 66 playlist! Better than Netflix!!!
Really getting into the Christmas spirit, aren't we?
I drove through Oatman on a partial Rt 66 westward trip in 1994. I see the old car wrecks are still at the bottom of the cliffs on the east side of town. Seems there was a car carcass representing every decade.
I love the part when you stand beside the Indian statue, and saying what are we looking at? Lol
enjoyed the intro Justin. Green Sleeves is such a beautiful song
I loved "Squeaky Sign" lol! Such an awesome video as always Justin! I wish more people in this world had your outlook and phylisophical way of thinking... the world would be a better place. Those of us lucky enough to "know you", in this sense, are made better by your adventures and comments, and educated by your desire that everyone should know these things.. appreciate their history and value. Thanks buddy for just being you! Can't wait for this continuing adventure and the wonderment you share with all of us!!!! ☺☺☺😎
Loved the philosophy! What we have in common IS a great thing on which to focus!,
As always, a treat.

I'm really excited that I now know I can leave my home and drive 4 hours to pet wild burros. I love watching you check out places I've never even seen living in Arizona my whole life.
Hahaha. Classic line from "So I Married An Ax Murderer". Thank you.

Thanks for the video - heading out that way for the first time in a few days and now I know where to stop!
Quest for Positivity Vato Loco! Solidarity and love is what we need!

LOL The intro looked like you were sailing along on your hang glider whistling a tune.
Thanks for the amazing videos! I look forward to these!! Would love to show you around southern Arizona if you make your way down this way!

I’ve watched your chan now for like 4 hours and just when I thought you couldn’t be any cooler I see in this video you’re wearing a clash Give Em enough rope shirt. Bravo! 🤘💪

Well said commentary about the American dream Mr. Scarred.

This episode just made me so proud to be American 💗
They also filmed a movie there from 1985, called Roadhouse 66, with Willam Dafoe and Judge Reinhold. Chessy 80's movie, but some good shots of Oatman.
squeaky sign lol love your video,s thanks for letting me just tag along
u sr r so darn lucky to go on route 66
I met Bob Waldmire in Bisbee AZ and he told me the story about how Pixar wanted to use his persona in the Cars movie - and how he refused. You should visit us there in Bisbee some day Justin ;-)
I’d love to cruise down Route 66 from Chicago to LA in a 1950 Studebaker Champion!👍
I love love love your ending song
Cool Arial at the beginning man!
Good video :)
i still watch these if i wanna know something about route 66!
Oh the references!!!
WHOO OATMAN AZ I take care of the others jems next month Justin
Great video! You make me want to do this route on a roadtrip! Also, when did you get a drone? I haven't seen it used in other videos.
I'd love to see you drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. You'd "love" the switchbacks without guard rails when your over 10,000 feet above sea level. It is a beautiful drive but scary.
This is so cool 🙀🙀🙀🙀😱
