Excellent vid. I normally have a hard time sitting through these camper conversions because the people in them are complete bellends, but this was really good. Cheers!
Thank you very much! Haha that's simply the best comment I've ever read let alone received 🤣🤣 really glad you enjoyed it and if you need any advice for a build of your own I'm always happy to help 😊😊👍
@@kangookamper8149 Will do! the bed will come first, the rest might take a few months till I can afford to do what I want to do (15 gallon water tank, single or maybe double burner propane stove...I want to make a shelf on the back door so if the awning is up, I can cook outside under it. @@derykmacleod4979 well at least you know exactly what It Is you want so that's half the battle, take your time picking up the other bits and it'll soon come together, there's no rush! Where about are you and what's the intention for the use of the van, you got any trips lined up?
@@kangookamper8149 I live on the East Coast of USA, New Jersey is the name of my state. I am about 45 minute train ride from New York City...and rarely go there because I am a country person, not a city person lol. Mostly it will be my regular driver. Weekend adventures (and just to have a bed to stretch out on when my messed up back from a fall at my job is bothering me if I am out away from home). Fortunately, since I can't afford to do the build right at the moment means I will have time to mess around with ideas before I finally start it. Looking forward to seeing what else you have planned.
@@derykmacleod4979 sounds awesome! Yeah I must admit I am not one for the city life, any chance to escape is very welcome to me me haha. That sounds perfect! Exactly what you want and need, keep it simple yet have the means to be able to spend a few nights comfortably without too much effort. I think for this one I'm pretty much where I want to be but I will eventually build a slightly bigger van I think with more amenities.
Hopefully the rock wool doesn't attract condensation, the reason The Ford Ka rusted around the petrol cap area was there was sponge stuck to the rear . I've seen other alternatives used but wouldn't know what they were on some of larger off grid project vehicles .
Hey! Seems to be fine so far, the area I stuffed the rock wool into is sealed from the outside and then sealed from the inside using the foil tape, touch wood it's worked so far 🤞🤞🤞
Yeah I think it will be, it's been complete now for about 14 months and seems to be as good as the day I fitted, but that being said I haven't camped as much as I would have liked
Hi , Great Conversion well done , if possible could you put some links up as to where you got the insulation and the cost please also a link for the tape , many thanks
I cant seem to find the insulation roll itself that I used, but again if you look on ebay for Insulation roll or van conversion insulation there's a few on there to choose from, you will have to measure your van and purchase the option accordingly. Hope this helps 😁
Thanks fro the video. I am thinking of buying the 2014 Renault Kangoo E-Tech when it comes to Australia this year.
