Hey Josey, I’ve always admired your steel spine in the face of adversity and how you handle adverse situations with such a cool demeanor. What surprised me was that I never realized that you were such a physical fighter!
Miss Josey, sometimes try to have contact with people in other countries so when traveling to such places you will someone to help you or you can get a tour guide to assist you. Tour guide doesn't cost much
How are you positive about this horrific experience that is was scary? You must have nerves of steel! I'm impressed beyond belief. Thank goodness for your calm and charm and cleverness. I hope you travel safely elsewhere. BTW This has put me off ever going to Nigeria.
I cannot begin to know how difficult it is to be a woman traveler. Just watching Itchy Boots ride her motorcycle through several of the countries around and in Nigeria, was difficult. Several times she had to laugh as if the police were telling a joke and ride away.
So sorry for. What you experience in Nigeria very sad indeed but thank God everything went okay And today you are able to to tell us Thanks for sharing
Hello, Josey I am half Nigerian, but I do not live there. I am sorry about your experience. Our people are very corrupt.I am from the north, so you should go there the next time. However, places like Lagos are not for the weak.😢
@@youme1414 u r lying the north is actually the easiest place to move around in nigeria, aside from people generally being genuinely nice the are most trustworthy seemingly with little motivation to cheat or decive a person especially if u not from the area once the insecurity is resolved it is a pleasant part of Nigeria with breath taking landscape, the biggest problem is the insecurity and if u keep away from the hot spots u are very good, lagos is not for the faint hearted but things have changed there alot as well though still many issues but they really working hard towards resolving them
@@tanbai8424 Yes, the Hausa people are trustworthy but the Fulani people are not. So don't tell me about North being easiest place. They don't so much understand English language in many places thereby leading to no ease of communication, they are very conservative and very religious. How do those make North easier now? Jeez!
Nigeria is earning a bad name for herself so long as tourism is concerned most especially with fellow Africans. Sometimes, they shamefully do it to Westerners too. I saw a clip where a Nigerian police asked itch boots for money😮😮😮.
Wow that was hard. But next time when you will be arrested again anywhere, tell police that are you doing youtube videos and show them. I am glad that you are free again
Sorry about the experience you had while in Lagos. it appears 'Murphy's Law' happened to you during your stay. However, I think that things would have been better if you had a local tour guide. Facts, the street of Lagos would drive you crazy sometimes, but its still one of my most favorite city in the world.
Sorry Miss Josey. That is horrible experience you went through.I don't know why some people are complaining when you are calling a spade a spade.Let us be honest. There are some very unprofessional police in most African countries, mine included.. people in Africa are generally good .its the system that is the problem.i did not know you are not allowed to film in the market in Nigeria.
Pointless and emotionally driven comment whether true or not. If you need to comment, then let it be on the subject of the video. It seems like what she said did not sit right with you, and instead of countering that intellectually, you resort to childish insults. Thanks for exposing your level of intelligence 😂
No the police did not take you to the station because you are a foreigner but because amongst you and the other women fighting you are the one that the police could easily exploit from mere look by the way the wholr drama would have been avoided if you have a local with you as he will let the ladies fighting know that you are a foreigner and not recording them i bait you by mere hearing the word foreigner they will leave you alone as they respect foreigners alot while sorry for your experience
Ohhhhhh. Poor you. The police came to arrest you and left the women that were beating you and pulling your hair. How would they pass judgement if you were the only one they took to police station? Hahahaha. Isn't this a script you are acting?
Why worldwide? We should start with Nigeria. Why are you people always deflecting your problems LOL. Anything that happens in Nigeria you brush it away with generalizations
We face worst from the police in Nigeria. This is what we are talking about all the time but other believe we are joking. Nigerians receive more from other African countries though.
😂 you live under dictature idiot. If you lived under democracy the bombing of childrens would have been stopped long ago but no Protestants keep meeting the government infantry while they keep killing kids by thousands. Ignorants like you are the reason why you will never have any control on your life
Yeah, there's a lot of corrupt practices there in Nigeria, but this incident involving you (unintentionally!) FIGHTING in the market could happen to even Nigerians. It didn't happen because you're a foreign. At the market, no one knew you were a foreigner. Nigeria is a large and multi-ethnic, multilingual, and diverse country, where people speak English with different accents. The problem was that, You Got into a Fight in a market, in Lagos (I guess!). You could have been mistaken for a Nigerian from the South East, until you disclosed your identity. I remember that you travelled to Ibadan, Nigeria, with Sabbatical (Your Irish-american friend), and some men in a village you visited, thought you were an Igbo girl from the South East. They even advised you and Sabbatical not to go to certain areas because it was unsafe. Remember? If not, go and watch that video. And who knows, your DNA might show some Igbo genes. The Luo people have been revealed to bear some Igbo genes. Are you Luo? Lastly, I believe you know that Nigerians PROTECT FOREIGNERS in their community. And the internet is replete with videos of FOREIGNERS recording content in the markets, towns, villages and cities in Nigeria, without any problem.
MiSS Josey stop this your negative vibes about Nigeria am not a Ngerian but i see alots of beautiful things in that country the people are truely welcoming.... a country you visited 4 to 3 years ago dont you think alots has change?
@ourienabate8434 I don't know anything about Rwanda. Our culture is to protect foreigners. Watch her videos when she was in Nigeria years back, nobody assaulted her, nobody said anything bad to her, you cannot tell me that our culture changed overnight. We have foreigners living in Nigeria and they all talk about how Nigerians are hospitable, so her story is still shrouded in mystery. Our security forces even protect foreigners more than indigenes if you must know
