The 7 of hearts prediction card could also have a red back with a number on it. Turn it face up after showing the back of the double (returning the double backer to the deck in the process) Then, at the end as an after thought, suggest that a different outcome would have happened if more or fewer cards had been cut. As a casual demonstration, remove or add cards to or from the cut off stack to match the number written on the back of the prediction. It could also be a different color. No trick is complete until its effect is muddied by an unnecessary kicker!
This is great, Lloyd! I think one aspect of this that makes it especially appealing is that you've made it fairly easy to reset for walk around gigs. But even better, if you're doing multiple tricks for one group, the dirty deck can just be put away and you're left with a clean deck that can easily be put back into stack at the table. It just looks like they've been scattered and you're just giving them a casual shuffle. I feel like a lot of tricks that rely solely on using a gimmicked deck can impede a performer from moving on to other tricks without having to perform an awkward deck switch or something. Utilizing a full, clean deck takes all the heat off the second deck and you can just move on to whatever else you wish to perform, making this routine seem even more impossible.
I can only speak for myself, but I kinda organize them in my mind like files in folders. Like... there's ACAAN tricks, sandwich tricks, locating a card tricks, etc. And then subcategories within those like Locating a card by forcing a card, locating a card with top control, bottom control... That way, I don't have to remember the tricks individually, I just think of what I want to do and the different methods of doing it will come back as I decide which way I want to go. Might not work for you, but it does wonders for me. 🤷♂️ I hope it helps.
Nice, as a hobbyist I list categorize my favorite tricks by type in my notes app. For instance I have top packet tricks, favorite openers, favorite closers, money tricks, coin tricks, etc. I try to learn and focus on one that I really like and get it down to memory. Then I put the time in to master the next one. Finally those get entered in my notes as 'set 1'. That way I can have maybe 3 or 4 tricks I can do on the spot anytime the opportunity to perform arises.
Great trick Sister K this was a wonderful plot but the "prediction pile" is such a great idea. also I know you did the video Lloyd but you crediting your wife in the community post was very nice. Also, for dealing out the cards to the cut deeper 7, for a possible quicker reset could you turnover the cards face up which shouldn't disrupt the order, so as your resetting instead of reversing the count of the cards you cut to the first cut too card and just place the cards below that. Honestly not sure if it makes a difference someone let me know if it helps or doesn't do anything I would appreciate it.
those cards are beautiful! and thats a really cool method, but i would've done it a bit differently: i would have 14 duplicate sevens of hearts with the numbers on the back, and use roughing to stick them to the blue cards. then when you spread you split at the correct seven and you can end a bit more cleanly :)
I actually started with that method but I much preferred how open I could be with spreading and handling the cards with the method used in the video. Good thinking though man!
Hey Lloyd I have had a very similar method for a few years in my lecture 👏🏻 I like the effect for the number predict back the time or position card or the any thinks the card 👍🏻
Stack is not needed I think. Once they’ve cut twice, show them all of the face up cards saying they could have turned over as many cards as they wanted. As you do that simply count the face up cards (helps with speed and smoothness if you can do it in groups of 2 or 3). They will not find it suspicious as they have no idea what’s coming next. Just a moment later you’re putting emphasis on the face up 7 of hearts and the number prediction has clearly been written well in advance anyway.
I would do it this way: Show all the face-up cards and set them aside. Then reveal the next card (7♥️), and show the matching card from the other deck. Then (while you are still holding the other deck) have the spectator count the face-up cards, and then reveal the numbered back. The only potential downside is that you have to pay attention to how they count the cards, so you don't break the reset.
I love the simplicity of this routine! Really smart idea of using a stack, even unusual let's be honest, as we know most performers if use mnemonica, then for card estimation
@@brianmendenhall8387 it’s the same difficulty. You have to memorize a deck of cards, there’s no way around it. Decide depending on the properties you want your deck to have (Mnemonica is more popular, Memorandum has more poker-related properties…) and give it a try 😊
Awesome trick! I don't remember how long I subscribed your channel but I know that you have been a great source of information and inspiration so thank you 😉 best regards. Diogo 🇵🇹
Clean and Beautiful performance! Not always but I get inspired from your videos for most of times to make something new production or make my versions of performances upgraded Also I like the new style of editing with subtitles! (There is subtitle services on youtube but the not pretty helpful without sounds when in public) Thank you for making me feel by making new things XD
Great trick, nmonica is hard to learn, is there a formula to get the number of cards for a chased order? I remember there used to be something like that where one could tell the number of cards but I forgot it
Really cool trick, don't know why but it reminds my brain to psycho from Spidey.. even if it's completely different, I have to restudy it again 😂 love your videos Lloyd!

I know I'm busting balls here but you sent me an email saying this was an ACAAN. Not a forced card at whatever number. My favourite way to do an ACAAN is DEX by far. Very direct, minimal process. That Dex beats my index(es) by a country mile
Haha, thanks for busting 'em 😂 To be fair, I was describing the effect (what is perceived by the audience) and not the method. To the laymen, it feels like they could have had any card and any number. But I do know what you mean. It's grey area with giving tricks a name, right? And thanks for the DEX love! It's mine (and Jav's) proudest ever creation ❤️
Just reveal the seven of hearts as the face up card and not show the number reveal. They don’t know what to expect, so the reveal of the 7 of hearts is still a great effect on its own 🙂

Dude the background music you've got going on is insane
Made me remember movies like interstellar, blade runner, dune, Oppenheimer...
I've been looking for more stack tricks and this one is SO clever! Thank you so much Lloyd!
This a great variation of a version that I do! You are always one step ahead Lloyd 😅
Have been subscribed and now you are showing up more for me. Gotta love the algorithms.
Not only subscribed, I saved a lots of your video to learn and practice.
Keep it up man, love your tricks and gimmicks
Never thought about combing the cut deeper force with a stack. Good stuff Lloyed!
Yes. Great idea. Also the red-back number-card. And the Split Spades would be nice in my shelf 😊
Love the split spades. Thanks for the tutorial. This is a very fooling effect.
My favorite deck 😁
I just can't remember all these card tricks,I have mad respect for people who can.
Neither can I, if I'm being honest. Sometimes I come back to my videos to re-learn them 😂
I run a daily practice session where I do them all daily. It has made me a popular dad at kids bday parties

Beautiful trick! After being so scared, I finally learned the mnemonica stack last month so this is perfect timing for this tutorial!
Wow! An amazing trick again! You are so inspiring…I have gotten back into magic again. Everything you do is different from what we see

I'm currently getting into the magic podcast and am loving it. I subscribed!
Been a subscriber for a while now. Love your thinking on tricks, keep it up
Love this idea and can’t wait to play with this my self( I also love that split spades deck )😅
I haven’t watched the tutorial yet and already this is one of my most favourite tricks ever

A good combination of a forcing method and the use of a stacked deck ! Thanks for the sharing and the explanation 👍

Subscribed and liked. Love what you do for all of us. Thank you.
Very nice routine. I really like the combination you used.
lol. the first thing i noticed is that split spades. magic was cool as always, but the card is exceptional.
Now l have a good reason to learn the stack. Lovely effect. Thank you
So many uses for Mnemonica!
@@LloydBare there easier stacks to learn Lloyd? I only know stebbins but don't think it would work
Just subbed, found your tutorials today and I'm loving them. Thank you for making these!!

This is a great effect. Maybe it’s time to learn a proper deck stack for me.
Perfect timing, I'm learning a stack right now! I've decided to learn Woody Aragon's Memorandum, though :)
Is Woody's stack easy? I've heard mnemonica is difficult. I really want to learn this but only know are bins. But doubt that would work
@@brianmendenhall8387 it’s the same difficulty. You have to memorize a deck of cards, there’s no way around it. Decide depending on the properties you want your deck to have (Mnemonica is more popular, Memorandum has more poker-related properties…) and give it a try 😊

Thanks dude!
Nice but wha wud happen if they cut really deep and u end up with like 27 cards above selection wha do u do then????
Just reveal the seven of hearts as the face up card and not show the number reveal. They don’t know what to expect, so the reveal of the 7 of hearts is still a great effect on its own 🙂
