I like how Blackbeard is maybe the most pirate-like character on this show about pirates, and yet we all want to see him destroyed specifically for that. Love the character though.
I love the surprise on Teach's face when he realized that Luffy was going to punch him. He's a character so consumed with ambition, so willing to do anything to see his dream realized that he's kind of forgotten that people sometimes act out of love and compassion. As far as he was concerned there was no conflict between him and Luffy. His goal was to go down into the prison, Luffy's goal was to break out. No reason to fight. He never stops to consider that Luffy would blame him for the predicament that Ace is in and want revenge for that. He assumed Luffy would be glad he got to avoid a tough fight and would go about his own plans and ambitions, just like he would. Luffy and Teach are similar that they would both go to the ends of the earth to see their dreams fulfilled and will let nothing stop them. But Luffy does have limits. He won't turn his back on his friends or give up on those he cares about. Teach 100% would've abandoned Usopp in Water 7 for being too weak to push on. Luffy decided he needed to be stronger to bring Usopp along with him.
If Oda does pass away, he has already told others like his editor about the ending, so One Piece ending still has a chance to happen if Oda does pass away.
One of Luffy's more enjoyable personality traits is that whenever the audience is thinking "I really hope someone punches this guy" Luffy's right in there pummeling them almost before the thought is finished. Same with that running gag of "Only an idiot would reveal where they are now..." Luffy: "I'm over here!"
If Luffy was the one to be executed.. You know what would happen? Ace will tell whitebeard to come Adam save him, shanks would come, and possibly dragon😂 the marines would've got wrecked 10 times over

This is such an under rated punch. Like everyone loves Luffy punching that Celestial Dragon, but seeing Teach fucking squirm for 2 seconds before he wrecked Luffy was satisfying after all the shit he did
What's interesting is that Blackbeard grows along with the story. He's not some insane villain they learn about, but another small-time pirate that goes big. We get introduced to him early and he seems goofy, we have no idea that he'll become the main antagonist. When Luffy has 30mil bounty (about to change to 100) he notices that Luffy deserved more than 30mil (even though the scene made us all think he thought luffy didn't deserve 30mil). I'd assume he was stronger than Luffy up until Luffy powered up and got G2, at that point I think Luffy would have been able to fight him. (Since BlackBeard managed to fight off ace, it's unlikely luffy could have actually beat him without learning haki) Then BlackBeard continues to grow and his years of scheming pay off (with his quake quake coming in), and we see him get way ahead of Luffy. In a way, his growth makes him the most likely to become the pirate king. He's also the most pirate-like character in the show. You can see his similarity to Luffy at the start of the show, it's just that they got in each other's way. You can hate him but I bet once they give us the whole backstory many of us will be cheering for him.

it depends. it would have probably been red haired pirates and strawhat pirates vs marines and shibukai (without mihawk). however the strawhat pirates would have been way to weak to fight properly. luffy wouldn't have known reighley if he was captured instead of ace so i don't think he would have joined. maybe ace would join as well but i don't think that whitebeard would send a lot of troops there. maybe he would let some friends of ace go with him to save his brother but nothing to special. i don't think that garp would have fought against the marines as well. i also don't think that the revolutionaries would have joined because they are an underground organization who planned to destroy the WG for years. i don't think they would have risked years of hard work and secrecy only to save dragon's son. it depends maybe only dragon would have joined and maybe sabo if he somehow remembered luffy. so in the best case it would be red haired pirates-strawhat pirates-dragon-sabo-ace and maybe some friends of ace against the marines and shibukai. notably in that case only the red haired pirates and dragon would be fit to fight the big names of the marines whereas the other guys would be to weak. in the worst case the alliance would have only been strawhats-red haired pirates and ace. in that case marines would totally beat the crap out of ace and strawhats and i don't think that the red haired pirates are strong enough to take on all marines by themselves. only plot armor could have saved luffy if this actually happened.
If luffy was gonna get executed, The revolutionary army, raylieh, law's crew, Alabasta Kingdom, Luffy's crew, The straw hat grand fleet, shanks, all of them woulda pulled up and destroyed the marine

***** Without Luffy's rubber body, he couldn't do g4, since he needs to blow air into his muscles to create that huge body of his. Since Teach would take his df away, g4 would be impossible to achieve either. Unless there are other versions of g4, Luffy is still in danger if he fights teach.

this scene made so many people think that luffy stood a chance against blackbeard, when it wasn't even close. blackbeard manage to injure shanks before he had the yami yami no mi, and shanks himself said that is not like he was being careless, wich means it was a proper fight. the guy took a gura gura shockwave straight to the face and got up without too much complications. he is really strong the only reason why blackbeard showed pain after being hit by luffy is because of the nature of the yami yami no mi, making him feel far more pain than a regular person would. I'm pretty sure had he not eaten the devil fruit, he probably wouldn't have flinched at luffy's punch

It just differs from other Logias in the case that it doesn't give Teach semi-intagilibility like other Logias do; in fact, he takes increased damage from all forms of attack. However, ability to nullify ALL Devil Fruit powers should you get in contact with opponent seems to be worth enough for that extra weakness.
I always wondered why luffy never made a jet rifle just for this moment, it would've been so badass. We almost never see the rifle move anymore, but just imagine, it combines the power of a stretch even further by twisting his arm and then created more impact as well as spinning the person he hits too but even faster and more intense because of the jet. But also imagine even possibly a twisting bazooka!

You can't tell me Magellan couldn't have waited a minute or 2 for the crew to die from the poison, or at least had them locked up. You also can't tell me that a double quake to the face from WB wouldn't have at least resulted in a KO, might have made it a bit more dramatic for the BB pirates to try to get away while carrying an unconscious BB, but still. It also bothered me that Akainu didn't relentlessly pursue the BB pirates when he started after Marineford, he saw them from his ship, he should've just started raining magma fists at them. Unless he was too tired to.
when you really think about it, blackbeard is a genius. from the very start he had a plan to become pirate king by any means nessesary. by getting the darkness fruit he also caused ace to come after him. because of that he was able to become a shichibukai and start a war between whitebeard and the world govt. during that war every high ranking marine was at marineford which gave him time to get a crew from impel down, then return to marineford to kill the weakened whitebeard and steal his power

Some people won't understand why I love this anime, the fact that Blackbeard put a scare on shanks face and the fact that Luffy easily punched the main boss of this anime is an OP moment.
It’s going to be epic whenever One Piece ends. It’s been 20 years since The arc is still continuing and I’m catching up currently. I grew up watching anime. One Piece is on my top list of favorite anime arcs. I’m looking forward to seeing the live action One Piece on Netflix. 🎙️😊

Blackbeard in One Piece is very much alike the real pirate Edward Teach aka Blackbeard. He is regared as imoral in common society and most people hate him for it, However his crew is powerfull and shares his "moral". they are regarded as "evil" when they truly are the closest to the real pirates. The real blackbeard was imoral and he gathered a pirate armada of over 200 people under his command that shared his views and respected him. He also managed to steal britains 2 most valuable ships.

Hello there 10 years later I have come to tell you that Luffy is a Yonko taking on Kaidou in their final bout. He will become a Yonkou same as Blackbeard and thus making it become a closer possibility to get back at Blackbeard.
People tend to overrestimate Blackbeard. I mean the dude is hype and represents the perfect Pirate (i love him for that) but people who say stuff like he is top5 in the verse or the strongest have to stop He couldnt even really tank that attack, let alone got absolutley, undeniably raped by a half head half dead sick and damaged as heck not even close to prime whitebeard in mere seconds He got a yonko because he could take over WB old countries pretty easy, not for his strenght he is not above big mom, Kaido or shanks. For now, not even close. But one thing you have to give him for sure: he is a tank and his raw destructive capabilitys are top tier, but thats it Just imagine instead of -50% WB he would have faced for example mihawk, he would have cutted him, GG and thats it (when WB was cutting BB on marinford)

The interesting thing is that I honestly believe Blackbeard's "no hard feelings" attitude here. Yeah, of course he didn't hit it off with Luffy, but him chasing Luffy and being intercepted by Ace were all part of his plan to chase his dream, things that are much bigger to him than some simple feud.
He is not weak, he gave Shanks that scar on his eye without Devil Fruit. The reason why he lost to Magellan was because he is tremendously cocky. Everytime the guy gets hurt he feel double the pain because of the yomi yomi no mi.He was able to kill the fourth commander of the WhiteBeard pirates, and WhiteBeard didn't want Ace to go after him even though WhiteBeard kills anyone who kill one of his sons.
I personally think blackbeard is cool as hell, he's got some kind of morally grey aspect to him. He believes in all the ideologies of the new generation and rogers ideals and shit but made the active choice be evil solely for his own gain and not just to hurt others. He isn't exactly evil, he's selfish and just doesn't care about others.
Bb is great villain. But you must be crazy calling someone who killed his crewmate, betrayed the one who cared for him and thought of him as a son has grey moral. He is exactly villain cause doesn't have single bright side, he doesn't have single person he cares for. He believes in new generation's ideologies cause his ambitions perfectly fits in it

it depends. it would have probably been red haired pirates and strawhat pirates vs marines and shibukai (without mihawk). however the strawhat pirates would have been way to weak to fight properly. luffy wouldn't have known reighley if he was captured instead of ace so i don't think he would have joined. maybe ace would join as well but i don't think that whitebeard would send a lot of troops there. maybe he would let some friends of ace go with him to save his brother but nothing to special. i don't think that garp would have fought against the marines as well. i also don't think that the revolutionaries would have joined because they are an underground organization who planned to destroy the WG for years. i don't think they would have risked years of hard work and secrecy only to save dragon's son. it depends maybe only dragon would have joined and maybe sabo if he somehow remembered luffy. so in the best case it would be red haired pirates-strawhat pirates-dragon-sabo-ace and maybe some friends of ace against the marines and shibukai. notably in that case only the red haired pirates and dragon would be fit to fight the big names of the marines whereas the other guys would be to weak.
in the worst case the alliance would have only been strawhats-red haired pirates and ace. in that case marines would totally beat the crap out of ace and strawhats and i don't think that the red haired pirates are strong enough to take on all marines by themselves. only plot armor could have saved luffy if this actually happened.
If luffy was gonna get executed, The revolutionary army, raylieh, law's crew, Alabasta Kingdom, Luffy's crew, The straw hat grand fleet, shanks, all of them woulda pulled up and destroyed the marine

Without Luffy's rubber body, he couldn't do g4, since he needs to blow air into his muscles to create that huge body of his. Since Teach would take his df away, g4 would be impossible to achieve either. Unless there are other versions of g4, Luffy is still in danger if he fights teach.

this scene made so many people think that luffy stood a chance against blackbeard, when it wasn't even close. blackbeard manage to injure shanks before he had the yami yami no mi, and shanks himself said that is not like he was being careless, wich means it was a proper fight. the guy took a gura gura shockwave straight to the face and got up without too much complications. he is really strong
the only reason why blackbeard showed pain after being hit by luffy is because of the nature of the yami yami no mi, making him feel far more pain than a regular person would. I'm pretty sure had he not eaten the devil fruit, he probably wouldn't have flinched at luffy's punch

I always wondered why luffy never made a jet rifle just for this moment, it would've been so badass.
We almost never see the rifle move anymore, but just imagine, it combines the power of a stretch even further by twisting his arm and then created more impact as well as spinning the person he hits too but even faster and more intense because of the jet.

@@nothing276 Yeah, BB is durable, but has had his fair share of plot armor as well, not saying luffy hasn't had an equal amount, but still? You can't tell me Magellan couldn't have waited a minute or 2 for the crew to die from the poison, or at least had them locked up. You also can't tell me that a double quake to the face from WB wouldn't have at least resulted in a KO, might have made it a bit more dramatic for the BB pirates to try to get away while carrying an unconscious BB, but still. It also bothered me that Akainu didn't relentlessly pursue the BB pirates when he started after Marineford, he saw them from his ship, he should've just started raining magma fists at them. Unless he was too tired to.

Blackbeard in One Piece is very much alike the real pirate Edward Teach aka Blackbeard. He is regared as imoral in common society and most people hate him for it, However his crew is powerfull and shares his "moral". they are regarded as "evil" when they truly are the closest to the real pirates. The real blackbeard was imoral and he gathered a pirate armada of over 200 people under his command that shared his views and respected him. He also managed to steal britains 2 most valuable ships.

Hello there 10 years later I have come to tell you that Luffy is a Yonko taking on Kaidou in their final bout. He will become a Yonkou same as Blackbeard and thus making it become a closer possibility to get back at Blackbeard.

He couldnt even really tank that attack, let alone got absolutley, undeniably raped by a half head half dead sick and damaged as heck not even close to prime whitebeard in mere seconds
He got a yonko because he could take over WB old countries pretty easy, not for his strenght
he is not above big mom, Kaido or shanks. For now, not even close.
But one thing you have to give him for sure: he is a tank and his raw destructive capabilitys are top tier, but thats it

He is not weak, he gave Shanks that scar on his eye without Devil Fruit. The reason why he lost to Magellan was because he is tremendously cocky. Everytime the guy gets hurt he feel double the pain because of the yomi yomi no mi.He was able to kill the fourth commander of the WhiteBeard pirates, and WhiteBeard didn't want Ace to go after him even though WhiteBeard kills anyone who kill one of his sons.

I personally think blackbeard is cool as hell, he's got some kind of morally grey aspect to him. He believes in all the ideologies of the new generation and rogers ideals and shit but made the active choice be evil solely for his own gain and not just to hurt others. He isn't exactly evil, he's selfish and just doesn't care about others.
