Women would call me saying they went on one date with him and he tried to get them to file a police report saying I stalked them, just nutty stuff, that I should call the cops, he was insane. What an incredible story of courage, Dr. Lee was professionally threatened by her profession and Yale university. Yet she maintained her views. She's VERY courageous. So many people like her are encouraged to be independent thinkers and yet if they step outside the barriers of their field, they are threatened with disciplinary measures. She deserves much more recognition for protecting our society than she ever received.

My ex and I had a beautiful home, a 27 year relationship and he had a good job as an alcohol/drug and HIV counselor. He started using and when things got too much I left. I've been clean and sober 33 years. Soon he was keeping all kinds of hours, the house was quickly falling apart (including 2 break-ins probably from drug acquaintances) and of course all this lead to him losing his job. Almost all his identity was being a well known counselor and the stable life he and I had together. After a year and a half he got arrested for drugs and a few months later committed suicide. Not to cold but he was narcissistic. He always had to be the center of attention which was OK with me since I'm an introvert. He also liked the affirmation he got from his job and when all that was gone he was completely lost.

The reason why so many of the people would follow him straight to the grave is because so many of them had a narcissistic parent, and it is nostalgic to follow him like their whole families did with each narcissist mother or narcissist father or narcissistic step-parent or legal guardian.
