sirr hii i need your help. what is the point of doing the urea breath test because we anyways have urease in our body which will break down urea into ammonia and carbon dioxide, regardless of whether the urease is secreted by H. pylori or not
Sir, my RUT kit was more on Yellow side immediately after test and still more of a yellowish type after 2 days. Doctor wrote mild positive for HP, I am still not convinced that strip is on pink side. It is looking almost yellow. Though he has written Antral Gastritis but ai had no gastro symptoms when I saw doctor( some symptoms of acid reflux were there before and I took PPI occasionally but I have not taken since 1 month and I am fine) . Please suggest if I should take HP medicines( he will give after 2 weeks as of now only sucralfate and ppi has been given)
Sir my became pink within 4-5 hours but doctor saying not negative at 10 minutes that is all matters. But i was on ppi during Endoscopy. found Gastritis. Had a Endoscopy 6 months backs with positive and Gastritis.

I bought a cheaper test in a store online and both my girl and I get positive she got positive in less of 5 minutes me after 20 minutes.
And before my Dr make a saliva test and I was who had HP. With erosive gastritis

When drugs that reduces the acidity of the stomach Is taken then chance of false negative is only there right ? How false positive?
Because h pylori also reduce the stomach acid. So if PPI is reducing the stomach acid then it kinds of mimicry of h pylori 's action

Hello sir , endoscopy says I have antral gastritis Nd chronic duodenitis, but biopsy is neg for h pylori,, rut test sample they attached with my report is completely pink but after 24 hrs also I take ppis,, m I still positive for h pylori

Sir, my RUT dry test was negative after exactly 24 hours but it turned pink after 36 hours! Is it positive or negative?
That means you might have a low level of h pylori infection. If the number of bacteria are less it will take more time to turn the test strip pink. That further means begin the treatment ASAP such that the bacteria cant grow much in your stomach.
Don't worry it's a bacteria hence treatment is possible with antibiotics, consult a Doctor ASAP
rut positive means infection & can it be cured with antibiotics or we need further operation or surgery ?

Yes. It could be a problem of food item that is irritating your throat. Avoid eating spicy stuff for some time.

Sir my rut test was positive but the card indicate pink colour....???
Positive results for H. pylori were considered when the color of the kits changed from yellow into pink/red in 24 hours. Pink means the infection could be mild. ( This speculation is not always correct though)

Yes it can cause loose stools. But if you have loose stool that can be the cause of other gastrointestinal problem as well.

If your RUT is negative then most likely its not helicobactor. Try to avoid outside food or water . The biggest source of H pylori is contaminated water.

It's very normal to change the color of sample into red after 2..3 days. We should look for the test result after 24 hours. If it is still yellow after 24 hour it's a negative result. After that it may change its color. No worries. You are not infected with Helicobacter pylori

Yes it can, but it can also be due to less fiber in the diet.
