As for reduced cost for military equipment they will jump on that also. Use the money to spend say it was necessary and way for them to pad their budget and ask for more money the next year. It is the same with their vehicle , communication, dash cams, body cams, computers, and whatever they deem necessary to do their job. We the people pay for it all.
There is no reason that the average officer should have access to automatic weapons or military weapons of that sort. For years and years when that type of actions were needed they called in a Swat team which were trained with military weapons and equipment. A pistol ,shotgun and a Billy stick is all that a average cop should carry as deadly weapons.

i know someone really close to me (of course it is not me) who did a few weeks ago. they wanted to stop him without giving areason so he drove on, so they followed him and tried to stop him. he was on a bike and as this peron (really not me :)) drove on they tried to block his way. he asked them again what their problem was and they started threatening to ram his bike with their car. that was the moment where this guy decided to just get away from this thugs and after he did he felt as mature as ever. a free man deciding for himself. also this person was already misstreated by those costumed pigs so why take a rrisk show them the middlefinger and drive off.
Until the officers who violate our Rights are held personally responsible, instead of the tax payers paying for the suits, they will never stop this harassment, and James was definitely harassed, because they threatened to arrest him for several different charges!

Officer Pedersen is a poor excuse as a police officer. His making up charges that do not exist - he is harrassing you for filming. His conduct is unbecoming and he needs to be reported. His is a menace to the public and gives all police officers a bad name. He either needs to be retrained, disciplined or terminated from the department. he is dangerous and has a gun.

You need to pick up a couple million candle light spotlight. They are hand held and will be brighter then anything they have.
You wouldn't want to pick up a couple million candle power spotlight. First of all it would be too heavy to carry around. This would be like an anti-aircraft spotlight not a flashlight. Second, the heat it generates would likely cause serious burns to your hands. A few tens of thousands lumens is the most you'll get in a handheld light but that is more than sufficient to temporarily blind someone.

First, candlepower is an historic unit, the modern equivalent is the candela but neither is a practical unit for measuring illumination so I will convert candela to lumen with the formula:

where A is the radiation angle of the lamp-the full vertex angle of the emission cone. Using a radiation cone of 25° which is in the range for a spot or a narrow flood light, and 1,000,000 candela. I will round numbers here but my calculations are done with full precision.
So Luminous flux is 149,000 lm. The XHP70.2 driven at an over-current of 20 amps has a maximum luminous flux of 9228 lm @ 7.29 V at 20 Amps for a power output of 145.8 W and an efficiency at maximum of 63.3 lm/W. These are per each LED. So to reach the target flux we will need 16 of these LEDs. All 16 together running at maximum output will produce around 1,000,000 candela over a 25° cone and put out 2332 W of power. To give you a comparison, a space heater or hair dryer is 1200 to 1500 watts, a microwave around 1100 W.
The thermal resistance of these LEDs is typically 0.9 C°/W. The max junction temperature is 150 C°. All of this heat must be removed quickly or the light will burn up. It is standard practice to include circuitry for active temperature management. This decreases the power level to a low setting if the junction temperature gets too close to max before it can do damage. At power level this high, we will definitely need forced air cooling with a fan to blow the hot air out as well as radiative cooling fins with a large thermal mass to help dissipate the heat.

I was working with a guy who told me that back in college he jogged to the post office a mere few blocks away. On his.way back two cops stopped and cuffed him. They demanded ID and then one of the cops got in his face and asked if he had any weapons or contraband on him. He said: just the hand grenade behind my back I just pulled the pin out of. When the jackals looked at each other he said as loud as he could: BOOM! The two cops ran in two different directions. I haven't laughed so hard in quite awhile. He was forced (?) to plead no contest on the disorderly charge, and the judge told him if he didn't get in trouble in the next six months his record would be expunged. Obviously the judge was a piece of work also. The jackals didn't show up in court either. The charge should have been dropped.

I went through the police academy at 53 years if age. I graduated, and quit 2 weeks later. I had recently retired from the military, had some time on my hands, wanted another challenge, and just wanted to see if I could do it. it was unbelievably easy!! The background, and pre-qualification process was the hardest part.
