this game could have really addicting speeder race minigames scattered around the maps--cars 2 for gamecube style. i think this game could be great if they continue adding stuff over the next year.
I really hope so. Unfortunately I have heard the speeder is a very lackluster part of the gameplay. I was really excited for it but hopefully they make it more enjoyable to drive so speeder races can be more enjoyable

@@vinceguy1464 to update u I was able to play the game due to a preorder and I actually don’t mind the speeder. U can drift js have to learn how to. It is clanky but not bad at all imo

demanding but fine, above 60 most of the time with RT/high/ultra settings. does not have jedi survivor issues
This game support DLSS 3 and frame generation easy to get 100fps in 1440p, you must use RTX 4070 minimum
IT even supports FSR3 Framegen the game runs and looks amazing on my A4500 and thats like an 3070 Ti@@vtg1800

@winslowclips - that's totally dependent on frame rate and whether you're idea of max settings includes ray tracing.
CPU is more important for high framerates while GPU is more important for resolution and path/ray tracing.
I don't have swo but with cyberpunk at 1080p my 7900xt is way more than needed until ray tracing is turned on, at which point there was little to no bottlenecking even with an old 6700k CPU. But 4k rt is far more demanding.
My guess is you want 1080, 60fps. For that an old 6700k and 6600xt may even do it, and almost certainly would with CPU oc to 5ghz. Obviously don't buy a 6700k but I say that to illustrate you shouldn't need to worry much about CPU for 1080p 60.
Prices for 6700xt or 7 series probably make more sense new than 6600xt but used prices may change that.
For Intel 3060, 4060 should be fine. Tbh, the old ass 1080ti would probably be fine on ultra without rt at 1080/60.

You've not seen any of the actual towns or pois. I took the fastest route which was mostly empty

Sure, not possible at this fidelity. NMS isn't the same game.
One thing with starfield... short of neon, you can leave the city and there's poi's that people may not even know exist, albeit not that interesting but could be a foundation to improve if modders haven't already. I don't think SO has outskirts for every planet.
I didn't hate it but if I could go back I'd get my $82 back and pirate Starfield...but Starfield will have a long life because of modders at the very least. Ubisoft doesn't have a good track record of longtime support and mod support.
Also, starfield looks to have better ship combat and obviously the gunplay and character options are far greater being more of an RPG.
Ubi is frustrating. They build great worlds but the rest is paint by numbers. It's always, "could be great...but" for me.
Starfield looks like the more complete game at launch by far with more options for gameplay and character, base/ship building, etc... as mid as it is but many SW casual buyers won't be so critical like Bethesda fans will be.
The cities look like they may be better in swo though I haven't played it.
I'm just not a big fan of games that present like an amusement park instead of of a reality. In reality I can steal a speeder bike and shoot a damn cow, at Disneyland I cannot.
I wish this job went to cdpr or even RS though they obviously don't have time for it.
When cdpr releases a broken game, I'm pretty confident they will fix it and then some. Ubi, may fix seriously broken but the "then some"is a pipe dream.
Too bad SW is owned by Nazi Disney, I'd love to see a sw game built with love and not under corporate deadlines and other such bs.
Hopefully it ends up great in a couple years or so but I won't hold my breath for support from Ubi.
