Hi Hanna, thanks for your video. I used to study in Lausanne, another city in the French speaking part of Switzerland. I sometimes paid visit in Geneva during the weekend, though most times were for the airport. Your video really makes me nostalgic about the study life in Switzerland. Hello sis, currently I am a master scholarship student in Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania after that I plan to pursue my PHD in Geneva but I heard living cost is so expensive can you share some suggested living budgets there? Thanks.
Hi there! Living cost is a bit expensive usually but at the housing cite universitaire it is much cheaper! About 600 francs per month or so I believe - my tip is to try to cook food at home and buy groceries rather than eating out often

Hi there! I’m not in Geneva at the moment. I’m in the USA now, but hopefully will be back to Switzerland sometime soon 😁 studying there was great! My professors were a amazing and I love the city. Hope to be back soon!

Hi! I was staying at Cité universitaire and yes bathrooms and kitchen were shared :)
okay thank you! was your experience positive? i’ve got a couple of friends that live there and they say that overall it’s okay and that maybe some food gets stolen sometimes + maybe the bathrooms are dirty :’(
Hi - sorry for the late reply! Yes it was overall positive for me although I had my salmon stolen once hahaha. I mean the showers weren’t always the best, but for the price of living there I was very happy and everything was mostly clean !
How were you able to register for a room on the accommodation portal. I’m having trouble activating my account.
Hi there! I also went on the accommodation portal and filled out some forms. I think you should contact the front desk or management to get these issues sorted out, and I wish you the best of luck!
@@hannal0visa Thanks a lot, I have just been allocated a room at the Universite Cite Residence. Could you throw some light on the shared amenities. Does everyone have their own fridge in the shared kitchen? And how many people share a bathroom. Thanks!
Hi! About 5-7 people share a bathroom, and there is two fridges for every 5-7 people to share

Honestly for me it wasn’t that bad- I barely saw the other people on my floor and if I was using the kitchen it was usually empty ! But it could be a different experience for everyone

Is there a common dining room for students at campus?
Hi! Yes! On campus there’s a couple different dining halls to choose from 😁 there’s one at Uni Mail and one at the science building
